No idea what your point is.

Fatal Four Way Main Event for the WWE title, probably the biggest Wrestlemania main of event of the attitude era. It was Mankind vs Rock vs Austin vs Triple H, all high calibur guys and one of the most anticipated main events in at that time

Cool story. Has nothing to do with what we're talking about.

 in relation to main events your saying that punk/rock or cena/rock would be better. i'm saying it would be better if all three were to compete because multi man matches can be successful in the main event. Cena's never beaten Punk one on one nor The Rock & Punk has been very vocal about how he feels about the Rock. If this were the main event it'd sell itself because you're covering three different fan bases all in one.

sorry you fail to see the correlation

It would not draw the same as a Cena/Rock part 2. Punk just has no reason to be in the match. If it were me I'd have Punk retain against Rock by Cena destroying Rock at Royal Rumble. Elevate some other face for Punk at WM and have Cena/Rock part 2.

It was actually Big Show in Austin's place. Austin was out with his neck surgery at the time.

I've already long accepted there's gonna be a rematch and I don't really even care at this point. At least the WWE Title will be at the center of it. There's no one else I really want to see Rock face at a WM, at least looking at it from an objective business point of view. Miz? Barrett? Ziggler? Even Brock isn't a good choice, as he's leaving as well after WM is over. I think Rock-Taker would have been cool. If Rock had said that the one last thing he had to do in order to become the greatest ever was break Taker's streak (instead of winning the WWE Title again), that could have been neat, but it's not happening.

Also, I'm sure it will probably make the ratings rise and attract more attention when a mainstream star like Rock has the belt after the Rumble.

When I heard this on the preshow I made a large groaning noise and almost kicked a kitten named leo. You'd think once in a lifetime would last longer than a year.

I disagree. The "once in a lifetime" aspect of it was as big a selling point as the star power involved... think of the matches we should have had but never did (Hogan/Cena?), and "don't miss this one chance to see 2 of the biggest stars in wrestling history fight it out in the squared circle"

It won't draw as much with it happening again... in fact, had I bought WM28 I'd be pretty pissed at the thought of it happening again.

It would seem more special if it only happened once, but even before WM28 (when they were already announcing it as 'once in a lifetime'), there were strong rumors of them doing a trilogy of matches between the two - Cena and Rock would both win one, and then the rubber match between them would happen at WM29. And it was already confirmed then that Rock was gonna be back for WM29. A rematch shouldn't come as a surprise, as most (like myself) already predicted it before WM28 happened.

No way was "once in a lifetime" as big a selling point as John Cena vs The Rock. It was just a way of promoting the fact it was a dream match. I have no idea why people are so obsessed with WWE saying it's once in a lifetime, they have lied to us plenty of times before to promote. The casuals won't care, they won't say "Mummy please don't buy Wrestlemania because WWE said it was once in a lifetime but now it's twice", they will be like "Oh wow another match!!". Match quality also means nothing.

The first match was all about Cena vs Rock, first time ever, etc. This time it's Cena getting his revenge on Rock in a part 2, it's completely unique in that aspect.

Once In A Lifetime can also be interpreted as simply meaning that it's only once (and not literally once, but perhaps just rarely, if you look at it in a figurative way) you get to see two huge superstars like this fight. Doesn't automatically translate to meaning they will literally wrestle only once.
