^^^There's suitably "dominant" and then there's acting like you're U.Warrior taking on HHH @ WM12.... IMO, the no-selling was un-necessary and without it I don't think the peeps that are claiming it to be a burial would have viewed this as anywhere near as bad as they have.

The difference between Warrior/H and Cena/Miz is that Miz, as I said, got a little over a month of heat, most of it totally uncontested. He was able to come out and run down the bankroll of the company without ANY repercussion. Hell he BEAT Cena on Raw didnt he? Why wouldnt Cena come out and mow his ass down?

It wasnt unnecessary because him just beating Miz doesnt make up for a months worth of uncontested heat. He did have to pull a Road Warrior/Ultimate Warrior because anything less isnt a payoff. If Miz gets to go pretty much uncontested over four weeks in making Cena look like a chump, why is 30 seconds of no selling such an atrocity?

It all comes down to the fact that Miz could have been taken to a whole new level in this affair with Cena. Granted, the angle built to Cena doing what he did...he proved that The Miz didn't belong in the main event.

Then again, they could easily had The Miz cheating to get the win and post match get destroyed by Cena. John gets revenge by the trash Miz talked...but Miz is still credible looming in upper midcards and main events.

Now, we have an even stronger John Cena and Miz knowing he doesn't belong in the main events.

^^^Edge, Orton, Jericho, Hardy, Punk, hell even Rey all have a size and physique which suggests otherwise... What sets Miz apart from those guys in terms of power and strength, kayfaybe wise?

When you consider none of the above guys were subjected to such gratuitous repeat no-selling and in fact when facing the likes of Cena, HHH and the bigger ME guys they're still portrayed so that their punches etc. actually hurt.... Hopefully you'll start to see my point.


...To be honest, I think DTK is onto something here, Kaedon. In another scenario you'd probably be happily declaring that "you're meant to hate wrestler 'X'... He's doing a good job".
