John Cena was recently interviewed by ESPN.com to promote the Smackdown vs. RAW 2010 videogame and 12 Rounds on DVD. Here are some highlights:

On if he would like to turn heel: That's the thing, I'm one of those guys who on any given day can be booed out of any building. I'm the only guy who is neither a good guy or a bad guy. That's because I'm genuinely myself. Certainly, guys in our industry try to sway the audience one way or the other, but like I said, I go out there and I'm me. I have certain things that I stand for, certain things that I believe in, and if you don't like it and you tell me to go to hell, I think that's your God-given right as a fan. It's one of those deals where I'm that one guy who is outside of that realm of good guy, bad guy. I'm just me, and it elicits a response both positive and negative.

Who he sees as the stars of the future: Now is a really good time because since the inception of WWE, there has always been that one, this is the guy. But now, you have a lot of possibilities, guys like Ted DiBiase Jr., The Miz, Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston and even a guy like MVP. These are guys who are all on the cusp. For the first time, we have all these guys who are ready to charge the gates and make a run to try and be the No. 1 guy on Raw.

As much as I'd like to see it, I really don't think WWE will turn Cena heel no matter how many fans boo him. He sells so much merchandise and is liked by too many girls/children, he's the main draw on RAW and he will be for years to come. Unless something drastic happens, Cena will always be a babyface and I expect it to be that way for a long time

I find it funny that he considers Miz a future star when he virtually buried him at The Bash.

lol at thinking he's himself. did he forget what he was all about before his face turn against JBL? he was kind of a chicken shit wigger with a bad attitude that was supposed to be heel but eventually got cheered. now he's a US patriot with a finisher called the "attitude adjustment" :nonono:.

fans boo him cuz he sucks, not because he's "himself" or a bad guy or a good guy or whatever the fuck he mentioned. kids and girls cheer him cuz they never saw a 6+ inch dick before and think cena's the only one in the world who might got one (his boner in trish's match may have stapled the idea lol). simple as that.

ooh and if he turns heel it might be interesting enough for us (real fans who dont daydream about becoming vince mcmahon one day) not to boo him. that of course if he's a non-wigger heel. i'd boo a wigger even if he's entertaining. like i used to boo him in his early days.

BTW, how come people haven't appeared with lighten torches seeking Cena's blood for burying The Miz like all of you know would happen if a guy like, let's say Triple H, did the same.

Anyways, back on topic:

I'm the only guy who is neither a good guy or a bad guy

Are you kidding me? Cena, you are as a good guy as good a guy can be.

Because Miz already got a huge rub off Cena and didn't need to go over at The Bash.

edit-

oh and its also not a cool thing to do. you should defend cena against all haters and bash triple h because you're smart and all knowing of the wrestling business.

He didn't need to get the no sell treatment and squashed in 5 minutes neither.

But since it's a matter of rub off, then why did all the people say last year "Carlito got buried" at Unforgiven, or the whole deal with Orton actually and finally getting a one on one main event feud at Mania and not being enough because he didn't win.

I can't tell if CMS is pissed at me for bringing The Miz into this or pissed at other people for not sharing our sentiments of being pissed about Miz being squashed. lol

It's not that I'm pissed, but I am just pointing out how ironic it is that people burn their gaskets every time Triple H defeats someone calling it straight out burial, but when John Cena does the same (even doing the mannerisms of having buried Miz) everybody is like "meh, at least he got the rub".

But yes, the fact that it was Miz makes it worse. You don't get mic skills like that every day.

^ I think Cena has the power to at least tell the road agents to give Miz some more offense. Cena didn't need to no sell either

I do believe that the moves in the ring and the choreography (spelling) is totally up to the wrestlers, the wrestlers are just given the outcome of the match and approximately how long the match should go for, to give more time to the main event, I read in a few books that they are just told that you are going to win, you are going to lose and say give it about ten minutes...

meaning that Cena could have let Miz get a bit more shots in if he really liked him and wanted.

Incorrect. They also tell them the story they should tell, and it was more than obvious they told them to tell the story that The Miz as no match or competition to John Cena.

Actually he and Miz control the match because, well THEYRE IN THE RING. But lets see, Miz gets a month + of heat on Cena and then people whine because Cena came off like he SHOULD have? Dominant after being humiliated for weeks on end? Wtf ever.
