During last night's appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, John Cena said he has a problem with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson because of the way he left pro wrestling. Johnson has stated that he loved the business but did not intend on returning when he became a movie star, and Cena said how that has affected wrestling fans when he is gone to film movies.

"He's obviously got his start in the WWE, gone onto movies, but in the process, the whole time while he was in the WWE, he just preached to our fans -- who are very loyal -- how much he loved the business," Cena said of Johnson. "He says he loves the business so much, but then just up and leaves. So here I am, I've done The Marine, I'm still working full-time for the WWE, I've got 12 Rounds coming out and everybody's asking, 'When are you leaving?'"

Never knew Cena had any hate for The Rock.

I actually think its the other way around. It seems that Cena has been mentioning The Rock a lot as of late.. I think John Cena might just be in love with Dwayne Johnson :shifty:

I'm imagining (if The Rock ever does decide on one more match) that these two will face off................

...but that's why they call in imagining.

It's because The Rock > Cena.. and that is bothering him :) If you think about it Cena is following The Rock's steps.. an enthusiastic face when he debuted.. turns heel.. than a huge face that has a "crowd connection".. multi-time champion.. and now movies! The Rock was just better that John in all of those roles.. thats bothering him big time.

Uh.. I agree, The Rock even said on Leno the other day that his life dream was to be an "entertainer.. an actor." I think it's pretty obvious that it all seemed like bullshit now. I doubt Cena is jealous of The Rock, lol, I think it's a pretty well-known fact that The Rock was much better.

Let's face it... Cena is the guy who is filling the void of The Rock right now...(as much as Kennedy may try to clone him, it's Cena). I'm sure if Cena was offered some of the pay days Rock was for shooting a movie he'd be taking months off at a time as well. Money talks, and Dwayne made a HUGE impact on the wrestling business in the time he spent there. Simply because the guy made a great career choice to probably more than double his earnings and get out before he was a cripple is no reason to hate him.

Pfft...Cena is a white clone of the Rock, except not as over and the five knuckle shuffle ain't got shit on the People's Elbow. Fuck Cena's opinion on the matter. Why would anyone turn down guaranteed millions in Hollywood while expanding your career for a career in a shitty industry that sees guys dying left and right by the age of 40? Cena is just a petty, jealous hack and the WWE is trying it's damndest to recapture the Rock's lighting in a bottle with Cena, whoring him out in sorry ass movies that are more suited for straight to video releases than the box office flops the WWE seems to crave. Difference is, the WWE made money loaning the Rock out to studios to do flicks while I'm fairly certain they lost a load on the Marine and things aren't brighter for Cena's next flop. There was a demand for the Rock outside of the WWE, now the E has to pay huge amounts to get Cena exposed to an audience that doesn't know who he is nor cares. It's not like Rock left without offering Vince a chance to resign him for what he was worth, but the word at the time was Trips was in his ear and told him they were better off without. Look how that worked out, Rock has grossed over 40 mil for the seven or eight movies he's been in since, WWE has lost over 50 mil in their movie ventures.
