Rather simple question really: who has been a better champion; Samoa Joe or Sting?

Joe was a crap champion tbh. It was boring as hell, and he just didn't feel like the face of a company. His promos were alright, and his matches were pretty good, but he just didn't have the feel of a champion. Maybe it was because TNA took so long to put the belt on him. Maybe it was because Kevin Nash was close to him. Or maybe it was just Joe failing. IDK. What I do know is that his reign was boring as fuck.

On the other hand, we have Sting. The guy did not deserve the belt in the least. He barely showed up. A couple of PPV's a year is not enough to get you a shot at the belt, IMO. Who did he beat? No one. What did he do to earn the shot? Nothing. Sting was and is living off of his legacy. he did nothing to earn the belt. Since he has got it, he has been alright. Due to the feud between the Main Event Mafia and the Originals, his reign has some story to it. His feud with AJ was pretty good. Nothing sensational, but still pretty good. that's about as far as we have got now.

Joe definitely did more to earn the shot. But I think Sting has done a better job. As I said, Joe was boring. Sting has at least been interesting to watch. So I go with Sting.

Anyway, cast a vote, and make a post. I'll be able to tell if you voted without posting, because the poll is public, so don't be lazy. >_>

I harbor many strong feelings for one of my favorite wrestlers of all time (Sting). In all honesty, Joe's reign was kinda crappy; it just wasn't Joe. I saw no reason in him being held down with Nash, so unnecessary. They should've made him a killer beast, but no. On the other hand, Sting's reign has been pretty average thus far, and his alliegance sways far too much. I'm not sure who, TBH.

It's quite simple. Joe is just boring as fuck. Every promo I heard was just him yelling at people saying he was gunna kill someone and then getting owned shorty there after. Sting's mic work is rather awesome and seeing as how he never really showed it much in WCW, it just makes him look even better. Also, I've always been a fan of Sting. So it's pretty easy for me.

Samoa Joe, hands down. The moment when he won the World Title at TNA's Lockdown PPV earlier this year was fucking awesome, I marked out like a little girl because my favorite wrestler has FINALLY broken the glass ceiling by winning the World Title for the first time. It was great, after the years of bitching and moaning by myself and everyone else on the IWC, we finally got to see Joe capture the gold. His reign was great too, we saw him be the very first person to ever retain a World Title in the King of the Mountain match, we saw him defeat Booker T in a six sides of steel match to retain, and then we saw his best match of Joe's title reign, the 3 way at No Surrender. Basically, Samoa Joe's title run has interested me more than anyone's in TNA. I finally got to see a champion who really deserved the belt, Joe really was the face of TNA and I believe he still is

What exactly did Joe's reign acheive? What improved? The ratings? No. The product? No. Nothing improved. As far as I'm concerned, Sting's reign is now the recovery of Joe's. Sting has a better chance of making the ratings increase. And since Sting became champion, the product has most definitely improved. Things are looking much better with Sting as champ than they were as Joe.

Joe's victory may have been a big thing. But what followed was a piece of shit.

Both sucked, Joe was boring, Sting is undeserving. That being said, Sting's first month as champion has been more entertaining and compelling than Joe's whole reign.

That's exactly what a booker would tell you. But truly:

1- That was the worst KOTM in recent history. The one they did at free TV was way better.

2- His matches with Booker T were mediocre, due to Booker T though. Oh, and how about the fact that Booker T stole his belt and Joe "wanted to earn it the correct way".

3- 3 way-complete randomness. Kurt Angle had just lost to AJ and still gets put with the chance of winning a belt, same for Christian, and for Booker it was already his third time.

As for Sting, his reign has been overshadowed by one fact, the fact that the leader of the Mafia is Kurt Angle. Kurt Angle is bossing around the TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

The fact that Sting is the one who watches as his faction beats down whoever they are beating down at the time highly disagrees with this. Angle may be the spokesperson, but Sting is shown to be above him.

Obviously Sting, I've always been a big fan of Sting, from his days in WCW to his debut in TNA. So it's an easy choice for me, Sting.
