Personally if I had to give me bet on this it's 60/40 that he leaves TNA if Hendry keeps elevating as a talent. Granted I love him but he needs to improve his Ring skills but he hits all the other Checkmarks as a talent for me. Slammiversary is going to be really interesting he beats Moose or is the last guy that takes a fall to the Champ in the Main Event.

Hendry continued to explain why he wants to wrestle Cena, sharing a heartfelt story from when he was 15 years old. He had never attended a live wrestling show and there was one he wanted to attend but couldn’t. Hendry’s friend went, had a VIP ticket, and met Cena. He mentioned Hendry not being able to attend, so Cena called Hendry himself and spoke to him for several minutes.

“John Cena was the first pro wrestler I ever talked to, so for me to be one of his final matches would mean a lot,” he said.

While Joe Hendry's popularity continues to grow in WWE, the 'Local Hero' won't be able to sign with the company for some time.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that the belief is Joe Hendry's deal with TNA Wrestling runs through the end of 2025, leaving him under contract with the promotion for over a year.

PWInsider noted that an option could be for WWE to buy out Hendry's contract with TNA if they want to sign him but it is not believed to have been something that has been discussed between WWE and TNA.

Joe Hendry has been a part of TNA Wrestling since 2022. He has been a major beneficiary of the working relationship between WWE NXT and TNA that developed in May of 2024 and he has quickly become one of the most popular stars on NXT TV.

Another group of TNA talents who have regularly appeared on WWE NXT in recent weeks are Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel of The Rascalz.

PWInsider noted they are signed to multi-year deals that run past 2025. They re-signed with TNA in late 2023.

TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace's contract, meanwhile, expires in early 2025.​
