Well, this has become a hot topic of sorts in the Aliens thread, I think we should bring it over here as it makes more sense, and quite a few of you have some distinct opinions on her. Just share your thoughts on what you think of her, as a actress or as a person if you want. My favorite performance by her was in Taxi Driver, thought she did very well to be in that kind of roll at that age. I also absolutely loveSilence of the Lambs, but I don't give Foster as much credit as most who enjoy it since it was Anthony Hopkins that made me love it as much as I do, but I still believe she did very well. I haven't really seen her in too many more movies, so that's all I have to say.

Her problem is she went full blueberry. She just really hasn't done anything good since 94 and most of the stuff before that was hit and miss.

I think we'll be seeing a Micheal Bay thread soon. Which will allow me to retell the story of Megan Fox's career.

She's a terrible actress. The one and only movie she did that I was actually impressed by was "Maverick". I would even go so far as to say she stole the show in that movie.

But everything else she's done? Average at best. I have no issue with the fact she's a lesbian, but jesus christ... she's with a dude in damn nearly every movie she's ever done and it's just SO obvious. Apparently the few people defending her have no idea how lesbians really act. I don't mean the lipstick lesbians they watch in porn, I mean REAL lesbians that act exactly like DUDES and have no feminine qualities whatsoever. She would be a good cast in a movie that featured a lesbian main character, but I haven't seen many movies where she could portray a straight woman convincingly. It's not her sexuality I have the issue with, it's her acting. Acting requires someone to portray a character they aren't and she can't fucking do that most of the time. Same with Helen Hunt.

She doesn't do drama very well either. Any scene where she breaks down in tears and has to act vulnerable and emotional, it is SO. FUCKING. BAD. I've seen grown men have emotional breakdowns that are more compelling than her's. And unsurprisingly, that's one of the toughest things male actors encounter. So even when she's pretending to cry and be overwhelmed with sadness, all I see is a carpet-munching butch trying to prove to the world that there's really a vagina in those pants.

Ugh.

Thats one film of hers I have not seen.

Chris watch, The Accused, Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, Bugsy Malore, The Hotel New Hamsphire, Panic Room and Carnege (from last year) all outstanding or at least her performances are.

You all know my thoughts should I copy and paste from the other thread?
