Directed By: Joshua Michael Stern

Starring: Ashton Kutcher, Dermot Mulroney, James Woods

Plot: The story of Steve Jobs' ascension from college dropout into one of the most revered creative entrepreneurs of the 20th century.

A lot of people have criticized the casting of Kutcher as Jobs, what do you guys think of that one? I'll definitely watch this movie when it comes out, just hope they do Steve Jobs justice with it.

Kutcher will get shit for whatever he does. People hate too much because its easy. I find him to be a very enjoyable actor though.

This will be a movie that I'll put some effort into seeing.

I've seen a movie made years ago thats basically the same thing. Pirates of Silicon Valley (TV 1999) - IMDb It was great two great actors. This looks like a fresher version of that so I'll be waiting to see what the actual differences are. But I do like Kutcher as an actor and think that he does tend to get shit on more than he should. Kind of like Leo.

I was going to post a thread on this. Interesting topic and I am interested in seeing how they play it out. Jobs had an incredible career not just with Apple but with Pixar as well so he is the perfect person to make a movie of. Steve Wozniacki has come out and said that the plot isn't accurate at all but still I think it looks like an enjoyable movie, just more fiction than non-fiction.

I just think it seems a bit too soon after his death and feels explotive.

It's been a couple years, I'd say they're safe. I'm not a Kutcher fan, but I am a Steve Jobs fan, so I'll see it just for that alone. I've enjoyed everything that Steve Jobs has done.

It is pretty soon but aren't they only covering up to the year 2000? At least that way they aren't trying to exploit his death and use that as a selling point to the movie. I don't have an issue with them trying to show what a great an extensive career he had.

Guess thats fair, and Kutcher is a interesting bit of casting.
