Since this seems to be a big topic there days, with the commentators being for the most part... "lack luster" at their jobs, I thought what if we had some underused jobbers step in? Before Miz got decent in the ring, I used to say he would be an excellent commentator. This is just from hearing him do it as a guest before. Obviously, he has improved a lot since then and was never quite a jobber but just using him as an example here. Is there an underused wrestler that would/could do a better job than any one on the commentating team? What do you think?

No. I struggle to think of anyone that could become a commentator without substantial training to become one.

It's one thing to do a quest spot here and there, and a completely different thing to do it regularly. OP used Miz as an example. And the dude is great as a guest commentator, but remember when he was the color guy for Main event for little over a year and everyone threw shit at him?
Once it goes from guest to regular all your flaws are going to become much more noticeable since they show up more often.

There are definitely guys on the roster right now who could transition to commentary down the road, but not just off the bat.

What about mis-used talent?

Although I do like him as a wrestler, there's no doubt at all that kevin owens has been mis used big time since getting the belt. And anytime I saw him on commentary he's gold. He has the natural ability to talk and have some good banter both ringside and in a match. If he keeps getting mismanaged alot then I'd say him.

I just always thought even though he is not a Jobber, Paul Heyman would make a good commentator

TBF Kevin has years of experience doing commentary. He basically did commentary for every match in PWG that he didn't work for at least half his run with them.

Maybe give Tyson Kidd a commentary job? Since he can't wrestle anymore, he can maybe give great insight and he improved a lot on the mic in his time in WWE.
