The man behind the greatest entrance music in wrestling history has reportedly left WWE after more than 30 years working for the company.

Music composer Jim Johnston was responsible for iconic themes for the likes of 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, Ultimate Warrior, The Undertaker and The Rock.

He has produced famous tracks for Vince McMahon's promotion since 1985, but according to online reports, was released after his contract was not renewed.

Wow man... Why was he released!? Seems odd.
The link will show some of his most popular entrance songs. Which are your favorites?

Wow...but there could be many different reasons for this development...

Johnston might be retiring...Or perhaps he needed a change of scenery...

Or perhaps his age was getting to him & he had lost touch with the WWE
as a product...

*Thinks*

Can the WWE release Vince next?

That was a joke...calm down Vince McMahon fans...

Damn I think this is one of his under rated classics.

Its the "light" version to contrast the Undertakers music.

I don't know why people are so mad at this rn. Jim hasn't been making wrestler's themes for 3 years now. CFO$ have been killing it recently while Jim was mostly just working for WWE studios theme songs, as far as I know. At first everybody was so happy with all the great themes CFO$ made for Nakamura, Roode, Styles, Balor, Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens or even Pete Dunne and now that Jim is released, people think this is the end of the world for theme songs. (not talking about the Forum but general comments on Youtube and Twitter)

With that being said, I hope this wasn't a messy departure and he left on good terms with the company. After all, this man is coming close to his 60s and probably made good money while he was over there, so it wouldn't shock me if he'd just hang up his instruments and call it a career. But ye, good dude, made a lot of great themes over the course of almost 3 decades, but it didn't really shock me all that much when I saw that he got released

CFO$ is doing well with new music and Jim had not made a new theme in a few years.

He did not write Sexy Boy for HBK thouugh, bonus points to whoever can guess that one.
