Well as of the draft Chris Jericho is now officially apart of the Smackdown roster and after watching the lastest edition of Smackdown many people must know by now that Chris Jericho really added alot to the show. Pretty much everyone that has said anything about last Smackdown has said mostly positive things about it and when you look back at the show you will see Jericho in the opening segment, the 4-Way #1 Contender's match and numerous segments backstage. Jericho may not be the only reason as to why the show was good, their was plenty of other things that made the show good but he was on the show probably the most out of every man that was featured on their which must mean something.

HHH was sent to do the job last year and he didn't really add to much to the show other then the title he held, but this year with Jericho I think its different. Anyways what do you guys think? Was Jericho the main reason as to why most people enjoyed this weeks edition of SD and could he lead Smackdown to bigger and better things, or will SD just go back to its old ways next week with nothing too special about it?

Yeah i agree Jericho definitely adds something to the show. The opening with Edge was great then Punk jumped in. Although he is a big part in why the show rocked this week i don't think it was just him it was down to a few factors. The matches were great plus they showcased a lot of the younger guys MVP(YES i know he isn't young but he is up and coming) Morrison, Ziggler. It wasn't just the big main eventers that got the TV time it was a good mix. Every match was really good this week. I just hope that this will continue every week and not just go back to how it was next week.

I think the deal with HHH relies more on the fact that well, he's HHH and Jericho is Jericho, and who the IWC prefers is obvious. If you look back, Triple H did the same, he had awesome openings (VIP Loung with MVP anyone?) and had backstage skits with guys (SD after Unforgiven).

Then again, it all went to shit in the build up to RR but that's another subject.

Anyhow, yes, Jericho might be the saviour, but mostly because he unlocks a shitload of new feuds and interesting confrontations. Just by being on SD, we get to dream with Y2J vs Edge, Y2J vs Rey, Y2J vs Taker.

Jericho is the main reason SD was good this week. He was recurring throughout the show. He didn't just have 1 match or 1 promo. He kept coming back throughout the show, and it was like a theme throughout the whole "episode". He was very entertaining, and I don't see him slowing down. Like CMS said, he brings a whole lot of new potential feuds to the table.

I have been waiting for Y2J to be drafted back to smackdown since he left smackdown for raw in 2002..... Y2J can do so much more on Smackdown and the feud possibilities are endless

No, the REAL Savior of Smackdown and the WWE is Jeff Hardy. Jeff Hardy will PWN the WHC scene on Smackdown after beating Edge at Judgement. Jeff WILL be a great champion.

My God, when will your posts be considered spam by the staff I don't know.

And sure, I mean, Jeff was a great champion before, God knows we need another title reign of his :shifty:

Jericho was absolutely brilliant on Smackdown this past week. I know a lot of people were hoping to see a return of Y2J but after seeing him on Smackdown there is no doubt in my mind of how brilliantly this gimmick fits into everything. As said, he kept coming back throughout the show and made so many segments relevant and interesting.
Smackdown is looking great for many reasons right now, not just Jericho...and honestly I think may become the widely preferred brand by WRESTLING fans in the coming year.
Anyway, back on the subject of Jericho... I honestly would not be shocked if we saw him overshadow Edge as top heel on the program by some point this year. If not, a heel vs. heel feud between the two would be nothing short of incredible.
