This is what I don't get. I see quite a few American members on this board blasting Brazil for defending their flag and national pride. Yet if I were to go to America. Rip down a American flag and take a piss on it I would most likely be thrown in one of your high security prisons an labelled either a terrorist or as attacking your freedom. If not killed by the crowd that would have amassed before the cops got me. If one country can be labelled as nationalistic it is the US there is no denying it. :obama:

This. As I said before, no one in the crowd felt offended, I laughed and cheered when he did it. He could take a dump on the flag if you ask me, and I wouldn't mind at all. It's just that the cops apparently interrupted the match to bother him.

America sucks. Signed: Someone from the US.

Anyway, PWTorch is reporting that The Miz has taken Jericho's spot in house shows.

Have you characters not heard of the WBC? Protesting military funerals, tying flags to their legs and stomping it as they go? I get that it is supposed to piss you off, it makes me upset to see people blatantly offending anyone who is proud of the nation they come from...BUT THIS IS wwE, and i guess he can't be his character. I would have been more upset being a punk fan and hearing him call his sister a drug addict 20 feet away from her...you know, since she is a real life person. I get having pride for your country, but here in the US you could get locked up and put in GITMO for a lot worse, but I sincerely doubt you get disappeared for stomping a flag. Oh, and if you piss on the flag in front of others, you will go to jail, public urination.

Nice post. The only thing that really bugged me is that they interrupted the match and forced Jericho to apologise. The whole point of watching WWE really is distancing yourself from reality and believing the story, right? I doubt many people watched Lesnar return and F5-Cena and thought "Oh, well he was signed by Vince to make an appearance tonight and read the script to beat up Cena. Nice.", instead, we were like "OMG LESNAR IS BACK AND BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF CENA, MARKING!!". That blows the illusion out the park when the match is stopped and Jericho apologises.

They know they're performers, they should have waited maybe until after the match or after the show to make him apologise. But then again I can't relate as that culture is a lot different to the one I am used to in the UK.

I found it weird that he stopped and apologized during the match. I thought Punk was hurt or something and they had to take a break because they had to check on him, then he apologized out of nowhere breaking character. I think he was forced to by our stupid biased police officers who should be doing more important things. And as far as I'm concerned, it could've waited until the match was over, but I don't know what happened.
