I'm on the search for a brand new best friend... and based on what I've been seeing across the FWA landscape... maybe you could use a new friend too!

That's why, after a slumber party at the FWA headquarters... Jon Russnow has agreed to allow me to host...

The First Ever..

BUDDY BOWL!

Anyone who signs up will be randomly paired with another sign up and you will become instant best friends, no doubt. And you will then compete against other new sets of friends and the winning team gets my highly coveted golden friendship bracelets!

Now, Mr. Russnow said that, for some odd reason, he didn't know if that would be enough to interest people. Or that maybe people might be hesitant to join this because all the silliness that happened with that fake Krash guy...

Well, I said I guess we could maybe throw in a tag title shot or something?

And he seemed to think that was a delightful idea!

So yeah! The winning team will receive a Tag Team Title shot!

So come join me! The contest will take place during the November 9/November 11th Meltdown & Fallout Shows.

More Info:

1. Limit 2 Entries per handler

2. EDITED RULE - Decided to cap this at 20 due to the great turnout.

3. The Tag Teams will be 100% random, this isn't storyline random.

4. Randomizations will happen on October 19th (to give people plenty of time to prepare).

5. You will be DM'd who your partner is. No one else will know the pairings until the shows go live.

6. Once you know who your partner is, you can elect to do a co-op promo with them or you can do seperate solo promos. Completely up to the pairing. You can also come up with a name for your team. All promos will be sent to the mods via DM.

7. This is a one cycle event.

FORMAT:

*An opening round of qualifying matches 2 vs. 2.
*Winning teams from each match advance to an elimination scramble match. A match where anything goes and each partner must be eliminated to be out of the match.

Just for what it's worth and to make it clear - this is not a side event like LCW or World's Collide, this is a FWA event that will take place on Meltdown/Fallout of the next cycle. I don't mind if people want to enter side characters, but I hope that anyone who signs up is going at it with every intention of trying to win and subsequently also try to win the tag titles.

For those concerned about using main characters who already have plans for heading into Winter Wasteland...
A) The plans can be intertwined into the stories of Buddy Bowl. Theoritically two feuding people could end up paired together. Or they could end up facing one another during the event.
B) The Tag Title Match won't happen until after WW so there is no danger of you being double booked for the show if that was a concern.

Ah, god damn it. All this crap I’ve talked about “my undefeated Tag Record” before losing to the guys that just lost the damn Tag Titles. The fact that this entire thing is about “making friends”, which is a big part of Trixie’s gimmick (it wasn’t intentional gimmick infringement ). And the fact that me winning this Buddy Bowl will get me a crack at Cyrus, which, as I said in the Discord, I wanna test myself against those World Title winning, GOATed handlers so that I may hopefully learn and improve from those encounters…
