*Remembers JBL's quote about the Hardy's...*

John Bradshaw Layfield said:
Jeff went on to become Shawn Micheals... while Matt went on to become Marty Janetty.

It's true. I think Matt fucked up by not taking certain risks. Jeff shined because he was willing to put his body on the line to make 5,000 at a house show cheer like it was Raw, while Matt shows up in front of 75,000 to hold a ladder for Jeff while he leaps from it...

But Matt's still got better mic skills than Jeff...

I think it's also a matter of ability. Do you honestly think Matt could pull off a whisper in the wind or half of the high risk shit Jeff does? Some guys just aren't build for that kind of shit. Jeff was simply one of the first real spot monkeys that managed to keep the fans captivated over all these years. Mostly because he's brightly colored...and rips his shirt off and girls scream. He's really one of the only high flyers that have ever last in WWE... so I'de say the fact that he DID catch on boggles my mind more than the fact that Matt didn't.

To be fair that's like saying a turnip has better mic skills than an onion.

I understand that they're trying to push Jeff as a legitimate threat in a hardcore environment with these squash matches, but are they really necessary? Does no one remember TLC?

I don't see what's so great about these squash matches. They're decent but not great. It's just been typical Jeff matches, they were just sped up and he did all his spots and signatures faster. And it just goes to show that in order for Jeff to be great or have good matches, some type of weapon or outside prob has to be involved.

And after his match on RAW, the idiot put up Matt's Verison 1 hand sign up.

You can't take memory for granted. New people tune in, casual and the next generation of hardcore fans. You can't just assume people remember parts of the history.

That JBL quote is.. perfect. It sums them up perfectly. I can't emphasize that enough. Hardy is no Michaels though; just for the record. :p

I really don't like this Hardy/Hardy feud at all. Whenever I see it I just think Christian. Hardy's squash matches hopefully aren't the generic booking method where Matt goes over.

These squash matches are a clear sign that Jeff will squash Matt at WM. This is the beginning of the end for Matt Hardy. Matt WILL leave WWE and retire from wrestling by the end of this year. Jeff will have a much longer and more successful career than Matt. It is Matt's destiny to fail, flounder and fade away into obscurity while Jeff rises to GODHOOD in wrestling. That is just how GOD made these two.
