Jeff Hardy was sentenced today in a North Carolina courtroom to 10 days in jail, 30 months of probation and a $100,000 fine. Hardy pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a controlled substance and a single count of conspiracy to traffic in a substance containing opium, all felonies, pending from his September 11, 2009 arrest. The other counts against Hardy were dropped in return for the plea. Hardy has also agreed to remain in a drug abuse treatment program.

Hardy's lawyer requested that Jeff be allowed to travel outside of North Carolina to work for TNA. The request was granted.

So in the end he gets off pretty lightly with just ten days in jail. The 30 months probation will be the hard thing for him as I doubt he can remain clean and out of trouble for that long especially with his brother around. I also find it ridiculous that he is on Impact the same day he was sentenced. He was sentenced to jail yet TNA are happy to have him on television. Surely they have to fire him for this when they sacked Matt for less.

Your thoughts on the punishment? Should TNA fire him? Will TNA fire him?

Ten Days so he doesn't have to pay the outstanding fines for it. No big deal really, everyone has respected Jeff once again. I see a major change in him happening and TNA is still keeping him.

I find that very naive of you Andrew, Hardy is too far gone to be saved now I think. I see him becoming the next Scott Hall.

TNA should fire him, but I doubt they will.

Everyone deserves a second chance, But whats this? the third or fourth time? Personally i'd get rid but TNA think having Hardy on the roster will boost the ratings, It never worked the first or second time.

I think when they first signed him Hardy made a difference to the ratings, I am not sure he will now, TNA are just sticking with him because of his name and history with WWE.

Exactly he has had many, many chances with both TNA and WWE yet he never stays clean. He should have been fired over what he did to the PPV mainevent a few months ago when he was drugged out before his match and couldn't wrestle. TNA didn't fire him then and now that he has been sentenced to jail they still haven't fired him. They fired Matt for less.

Probation how many times has Lindsay Lohan violated probation?

TNA won't fire him hell they'll probably sing his praises about how he's learned and plead guilty to do the right thing.
