NoDQ.com > TNA > Jeff Hardy considers himself a role model
Posted by Mark Virginia on 05/10/2010 at 01:03 PM

During a recent interview with TNAWrestling.com, Jeff Hardy spoke with Twilight actor Booboo Stewart, and the first question asked was whether or not Hardy considers himself a role model. His response is as follows:

"Definitely, yes. I know I am. I never forget where I came from to get where I am today and that's a huge important thing. Don't ever forget where you started. Always consider yourself human and remain down to earth. And treat your fans with the respect they deserve and you'll get all that back in the long run."

I suppose I'm a little impressed that he's even thinking that way. He might have 14 years in prison ahead of him. If he's incarcerated then maybe he really can be a role model for reform.

^ we all know he isn't going to prison. I'm sure TNA's paying for the best legal defense team in the state, and besides, Hardy's a celebrity, and his "star justice" won't give him but 30 days max and a butt load of community service

If that were the case gates then TI and Lil Wayne wouldn't of served their time during their fame.

I hope he does get jail time. Maybe he will learn a lesson.

Hardy is far from a "celebrity". I think he'll probably serve some time, though I don't think we'll be looking at anything as extreme as 14 years.

Well he was portraited as that during his final WWE run. I guess his gimmic got to him and he started taking it seriously.

Guarantee that he is made an example of & given a few years because of his celebrity. There is no argument for the amount of drugs that were found in his house, he's going to jail for possession if his lawyer is excellent & trafficking if his lawyer sucks.

In a way Jeff Hardy is a role model - "Kids, don't be a drug using, fail at life fuck up like Jeff Hardy."

I never care much about him, but I do prefer him to get jailed. Just so maybe I can see him come back to wrestling after his release, got interviewed in a promo, then see him got asked whether he still consider himself a role model.

Hoping I'll be lucky, that when it happens, he'll add his previous comment with "..but the most important thing to remember is... don't drop the soap. 'Cause you don't wanna know what 'twist of fate' means, in prison slang."
