I agree but one thing people in this thread seem to separate is the addiction and the driving. there is not really any seperating it when you're an alcoholic of that nature. People who are that intoxicated don't have any rational thought, show me an alcoholic in a drunken stupor that makes good decision and I'll show you a saint.

Not that I'm at all excusing the absolute douchebaggery that drunk driving is. but one doesn't exist without the other.

That being said, the fact he was supposed to have a breath machine in his whip and didn't means he also is making a conscious choice to ignore his driving conditions. that in itself is pretty reckless and an asshole move for sure.

Good point, I didn't know that detail, it seems that for them it's like a challenge. How can I keep driving without getting caught and they probably convince themselves that they are not a danger to anyone or just don't care. Either way it's really bad and anyone who does this should be locked up.

Yep. Jimmy Uso has been arrested four times for drinking and/or driving incidents. Never had repercussions. Business is business I guess.
