I actually would disagree with him being able to main event. The talent he has on the mic and in the ring really reminds me of Seth Rollins. Not that they are a carbon copy of each other. Just that amount of talent and such.

It's something I'd be glad to be wrong about, I think he definitely has the talent I'm just unsure he actually gets the push. It'd be an uphill battle in WWE to earn the trust (kinda like Seth had at first tho tbf) and AEW I just think the top of the card is heavy there so might be harder for him to stand out

I’m getting whiplash on news of Jay White, Hikuleo and Tama Tonga all having expiring contracts soon.

Im starting to think NJPW is feeding sources to keep the kayfabe of this match alive. Especially since reports have been saying Jay has over 18 months left on his deal. I’m definitely intrigued now.

If this is true then Rocky Romero is proving he's still the king of sneaky style

I would dig it if they were. Not going to lie, makes it unpredictable then. I wouldn't care if NJPW dumped the story to the sheets just for the illusion.

Maybe a bit of hot take but in a "perfect world where contracts dont matter" id push White over MJF as top heel n give MJF more time. Mjf is amazing but i think his ceiling is high n has plenty of room to improve. White is a finished product. #mbim2high

Eh, I don't think I can fully state my opinion on that. My Jay White exposure is probably less than you. When it comes to MJF though, not pushing him to the main event in the past year probably would be the equivalent of not pushing Rocky after delivered the "die, rocky, die" promo.

I’m currently obsessed with the Bullet Club again and Jay White is the main reason why. There was even a period during the pandemic I thought Bullet Club had maybe died because I hadn’t heard anything relevant about them in a while.

Then Switchblade starts his US of Jay tour and makes me both a fan of him and his leadership. During his run you get an invasion of Impact, a mini feud with Omega and the Elite, Chris Bey joins the BC in Impact, the Good Brothers come back to the fold, GoD get kicked out and make their own unit, Ace Austin and Juice Robinson both join during the 9th anniversary of the formation of the club.

The Bullet Club is banging harder than ever. The only thing I would say is WWE and AEW is slowly hurting BC in Japan again. They do need 2-3 new members to join in the upcoming months that will permanently stay in Japan and maybe also work Strong too.

oh absolutely don't disagree with Tony's decision here, with everything going on, pushing MJF was the only choice and the right one. I meant more in a fantasy scenario where none of that matters and you have both guys with a clean slate. In the context of AEW now, I'm with Chris that is would be interesting to see where he would slot after the initial BC feud. it's a fair discussion to have

all that to say, I'd sign him regardless. This to me is the equivalent of like Seth Rollins being a free agent. You back the truck up and hope you can get him

I fully agree with this. If AEW had Switchblade and didn’t use him to his full potential, I’d be insanely upset with him. MJF definitely has plenty of time to improve and he’s getting his run now, anyway.

Jay wouldn’t come in until halfway through MJF’s current run. MJF wouldn’t need a second run right away and can let Jay take it for a bit before getting another chance on top.
