Not sure how 'newsworthy' you will find it, however during his time on the "Rove" show the other night in Australia, Jeff and Rove had a conversation during a commercial break which covered a few interesting topics.

Jeff Jarrett talks about Twitter, the last ever WCW Nitro episode and Vince McMahon:

http://www.rovedaily.com.au/video.htm?vxSiteId=5375a8e5-9ee8-4005-802d-01ed41d3c200&vxChannel=Behind%20the%20Scenes&vxClipId=2491_rv_9_bts_jarret_26_090906_final&vxBitrate=300

hmm, now it seems to me that someone told be Jarrett and McMahon hated eachother, yet here Jarrett says that 1) he and McMahon are friends on a personal level and 2) that he was not fired as Vince said he was on the final Nitro.

So I guess my whole theory of Jarrett going to McMahon to destroy TNA should TNA cut him completely out of the company is deffinatly a go because Jarrett and McMahon don't hate eachother as I always suspected.

I guess too since Jarrett was working to promote the next TNA tour though I guess this means Jarrett has quietly returned to work. I would say that he probably still co-owns the company as before and that nothing changed on that front. Perhaps he is just going to be like the PR guy, plugging the events on the talk shows and what not.

I thought Jarret & WWE had a messy 'parting of ways' too.

Then again, could be a typical case of "Oooops I badmouthed Vince back in the day; I'd best mend that bridge just in case"....

His current nemesis has done exactly the same in the last 12 months.

Jarrett and Ross had some beef I thought around the time Jarrett left for WCW the final time. Can't remember the details?

^^that might be where the confusion came from though. If Jarrett had issues with Ross and everyone thought the heat was with McMahon.

Basically Jim Ross fucked up and allowed Jeff Jarrett's contract to run out while he was still IC champion. Jeff Jarrett basically held WWE hostage and got a lot of money just to show up at a PPV and drop the title to Chyna.

Taken from wiki so take it for what you will;

Jarrett left the WWF in October 1999, right after WWF head writer Vince Russo resigned from the WWF in order to join WCW.[14] Jarrett's contract expired on October 16, 1999, one day before his scheduled match with Chyna at No Mercy.[15] Jarrett wrestled at No Mercy nonetheless, losing the Intercontinental Championship to Chyna.[16] Chyna later alleged that Jarrett and Russo had colluded in order to delay Jarrett's title defense until after Jarrett's contract had expired, and that Jarrett had subsequently blackmailed WWF Chairman Vince McMahon for $300,000 in order to wrestle without a contract.[15] In 2006, Jarrett asserted that he had been paid only what he was owed by the WWF.

...when WCW was purchased by the WWF. His contract was not picked up by the WWF. On the last Nitro, Jeff was seen on RAW while Vince McMahon watched the show. Vince saw Jeff on the screen and told the viewer that Jarrett would not have a future in the WWF following McMahon's acquisition of WCW, effectively firing him on-air. This was obviously due to the way Jarrett had left the WWF two years earlier.

I see two flaws in that wiki thing. First as I've always said there is no proof that Jarrett held vince up for money. The way I had always heard the story was that he did it willingly for free. The only person according to wikipedia that claims otherwise is Chyna. And Chyna is a known former disgruntled employee.

As for the firing, as Jarrett said on Rove's show, that was just for TV and Jarrett was still paid for 9 more months till his contract actually expired. This leads me to believe that all the talk of bad blood between Vince McMahon and Jeff Jarrett is complete bullshit.

^You're essentially right because the Wikipedia article does say that Chyna alleged and that Vince said Jarrett would have no future in the WWF. The paying of the rest of his WCW contract would actually be part of the WCW purchase.

^^except that the WWE did not have to purchase nor did they purchase all the contracts as part of the deal. So they did purchase Jarrett's contract because they must have wanted it. Despite Vince saying on the final Nitro that Buff Bagwell on the final Nitro, he still brought Buff in (even though he didn't last long)
