James Wan’s ‘Demonic,’ Starring Maria Bello, Set for December Release

Dimension Films will release the supernatural thriller “Demonic,†starring Maria Bello and presented by horror icon James Wan, on Dec. 12.

The pic is produced by Wan and Lee Clay and directed by Will Canon, based on an original idea of Wan’s. Frank Grillo also stars.

“Demonic†centers on the aftermath of a massacre where five college students were brutally murdered inside an abandoned home.

Wan co-created the “Saw†and “Insidious†franchises and the directed “The Conjuring†and “Fast and Furious 7,†which will be released in 2015.

I don't know if I would call Wan a horror Icon but this could be a decent flick.

It's hard not to call the guy a horror icon when the films he's directed, written or produced have grossed over $715 million at the box office. At the very least he's a profit icon. :

Dude can definitely make money with horror when not that many people have been. A shame every movie of his has been increasingly less interesting to me though.
