The way AEW has handled this situation is absolutely amazing. I don't even think that is a strong enough way to describe it, but, to have his family on just days after is a strong thing for them to be able to do, and, I am sure it was helping in healing being with people who will show them a lot of love and support, in the middle of a ring in the business he truly loved. I think this is the best tribute I have ever seen in wrestling. I was not a big fan of his (did not dislike him, either, I thought he was interesting, just wouldn't call myself a fan), but, anyone in wrestling who passes away feels like a friend. We tune in every week to watch these people, it is easy to forget they are regular human beings with families and personalities that can differ from their in ring persona. We don't always get a big glimpse in to the personal lives of these wrestlers, to see the real human side of them, away from gimmicks.
I give a giant kudos to Tony and everyone else involved that put this together. This show so far has been really thoughtful. I imagine it must be difficult to be wrestling during this time, but, heartwarming that it's for a fellow wrestler who passed way too soon.
