Being a huge fan of Mick, I'm really excited for Mick Foleys move to TNA. He is still a Hardcore Legend and has a lot of history with the business which marks out. He sure can't put awesome matches but the guy is fucking Awesome and that's just about it.

Thank you TNA, thank you MICK.

And who will he be putting over, Kurt Angle?

No seriously, a job from Foley is not worth much now a days. Sure, it will still be a huge deal, however, he does them so often that they have lost the prestige they once had.

Second, Gashface, I don't think the fact that he put over young talent will even affect his TNA role. What will he say? "Oh yeah, I always see the talent in young wrestlers, that's why I lose to them". It would make no sense. TNA cannot focus on him like that.

Third, his matches will be horrible. Besides, his bumps have been whored in TNA, so they will not be that special, and unless Foley is crazy enough that at his body state and age is willing to top his own now regular bumps(Barbie, thumbtacks, fire), his Hardcore Matches, in my eyes the only type of match he will be able to pull off as of right now, will not be special.

Stop nitpicking. It's not the specifics. My point was that certain people like certain wrestlers and others dont. Foley was a massive hit in the 90s and he's still majorly respected by the industry and fans alike. It doesn't matter that he's over the hill and seen a lot better days, people will pay just to see him cut a promo or show up. I sure as hell would. But I know Foley, I know that he likes to put talent over, when he left WWE for the first time his whole goal was to put HHH over, and he did it again with Orton and Edge. Foley has come to TNA to give back something.

People aren't going to pay just to see Foley. The novelty will surely wear off. If people didn't pay to see Angle, Foley isn;t going to be any different. It seems that you just think this is a quick fix for some ratings. Wrong.

Don't you think we'll find out what the logic is behind Mick Foley showing up randomly this Thursday on iMPACT!? They did a great job with his debut, it got people thinking about what he was doing there, and to get the rating up for next week they hype up iMPACT! as the show where we will finally find out why Mick Foley CROSSED the LINE and whether or not he is on Angle's side or Jeff Jarrett's side.
It's obvious he's on Jarrett's side. But the debut was still stupid. Sure, they can explain it. But the two don't have any real history together. They'll just be starting a feud from scratch. If they were intent on doing that, Foley vs Abyss would have been a much better option.

I seriously don't think this will be all that great.

I'm a huge Foley fan, but he is incrediblye old and out of shape. When was his last match? 2006. And still then he was pretty much over the hill. I agree with what BKB said, the novelty of Mick will wear off quickly. It's obvious they are going to make him a semi-active wrestler, and after a career of some of the insanest spots I've ever seen, I doubt he can even work a match anymore.

Quite honestly, unless they just decided to use him sparingly and maybe as Special Referee and whatnot, this was probably a bad signing. I bet it cost TNA a whole lot of cash to get Mick to sign, and he'll probably bothc more than Flair did on his way out.

The only possible place for Mick in my opinion is a non-wrestling one, or maybe one last Hardcore match against Abyss, or if he hadn't have left, Raven.

I wasn't saying Foley was a rating fix, I actually don't care about ratings in the slightest myself. I was addressing the point that somebody said "who cares about Foley." and I'd say that a lot of people still do and would go to see live shows etc. to see him.

^^People will definitely go to see him, but I severely doubt it will last very long once he gets in the ring.

That's still doing nothing for the company. They may draw people into the what, four house shows they run a month? Yep, that will cover the cost of Foley's contract for sure.

I'm not saying it covers his pay-cheque but he's on a short term contract I think he wanted to come back for one last feud and wrestling run and WWE wouldn't let him. I'm glad TNA are letting him do it. Now if TNA give him a long term contract and he's doing a fat load of nothing, sure you can complain.

Like I personally think Kevin Nash and Sting are a waste of money for what they do, but hopefully Foley will make use of his short term contract. and Actually Booker T does a fat load of nothing much as well, but I'm not a Booker T fan.

Personally I'm hoping that at the end of this storyline TNA will see Sting retire and sort of leave TNA in the hands of the likes of Joe and AJ, along with this hopefully Foleys short contract will expire and he'll have done what he felt he needed to do.

As for Kevin Nash well meh.
