It's Not A Shoulder Strap

So...I really had no idea where to post this...or if it even matters...but hear me out.

So I really, really, really hate it when a wrestling Champion carries their Championship
belt over their shoulder.

I don't know why...it just looks awkward to me...almost like it would be a hassle to
lug the belt around all the time. Now I understand someone like say Yokozuna back in the
day not wearing the belt...but for most of the WWE superstars...I just don't understand.

Its a belt...wrap it round your waist...that way you have the use of both hands and you
don't have to drop it when you get into a fight.

Does this bug anyone else around here? Or am I being too traditional?

They look like possibly the most uncomfortable thing possible to wear around your waist.

As mentioned, it is likely uncomfortable to some of them. I don't care either way. If I was a wrestler, I'd have someone else walk around and carry it for me. :dawg:

People forget a key factor in them wearing it over the shoulder. Merchandising. 9 times out of 10, if you are a champion in WWE. You also have merch, mainly t-shirts. And WWE does not want you to wear a belt over the shirt you are trying to sell.

Well, I would have to go with the who cares bunch. If I were a wrestler (I wish I was!) I would were my belt however I damn please that night. I might come out like this

I think it is for camera angles. If you are doing a close up interview with the champion having the belt over the shoulder makes sense.

If you are doing a body shot like that one of Charlotte around the waist.

Or maybe just personal preference or to fit the gimmick or whatever creative has told you. .
