First, I want to say two things. I am posting this in the International Wrestling as this topic has to do with wrestling all across the world and the United States, and this means to be a serious and if all you are gonna do is come in and just talk about why WWE is beating everyone and add no real conversation points or anything of that sort, please take that elsewhere. Now, onto the point.
I am currently watching Triple A's Triplemania on Twitch, and Vampiro said something that got me to thinking. He said "Wrestling is in a Boom right now with everything Impact, MLW, Lucha Underground, New Japan (Pro Wrestling), Ring (of Honor), Cody and The Bucks with All In. Wrestling is getting more popular, becoming more available to everyone, how companies are working with each other to produce a better product, and how they many alternatives for people to watch who like a certain style. International Wrestling and Indy Wrestling are raising and in a Boom period."
When he said it got me to thinking. Is Wrestling in a Boom period right now? To which, I have to agree with. In the recent years, there is no mistaking that Indy, Japanese, and International have been making its raise and its voice is being heard. Though the best year of all of it has been 2018 with All In selling out and making news, AAA holding an event in Madison Square Garden, RoH and NJPW selling out Madison Square Garden and holding an event there on the day before Wrestlemania, Lucha Underground having some of the highest ratings in its past seasons, I believe, and a bunch of other things that have been making news and gaining attention. As well we have seen the rise of various promotions introducing a streaming service or partnering with a streaming service like CZW, RoH, NJPW, AJPW, AAA, and many more have done so.
Is Wrestling in a Boom Period? How long will last? Will, it soon die off or will it only gain more and more traction? Let me know what you think.
