There is a lot of fucked up shit in the World right now and I've been looking into a lot of it and it won't end up well for all of us. A lot of people just get upset when I tell them what I know. Should I just let these people continue with their regular activities of being addicted to all these clear distractions of TV, movies and the best example your smartphones? I don't know what's so wrong with being really informed.

Everyday in the United States we are getting lied to and nobody seems to care like everything will just be okay. Then I get a called a fear monger just because I actually do research and look into things. I just want to get to see what people think about this here. Or are you one those that would rather never know what's really going on? Is it really fear mongering to tell the truth if someone doesn't want to listen?

I'm not quite sure I understand, do you mean if you tell someone they are wasting their life by always watching TV? Or is about other things going on in the world? In either case I don't know how it could be considered fear mongering.

Well in the United States right now all our laws are being changed to help billion dollar corporations take our money and eventually enslave us. Just like most countries our entire Government isn't listening to the people and just taking these bribes in what is coming to a rapidly declining economy that we get blamed for when it's really the people in control of these companies that are responsible for this bullshit.

Everyone should know this but they are too busy handing over there cash for the next new smartphone to get lost in.

That doesn't seem like you're fear mongering. You seem to just want to educate yourself and rightfully so. I can see where some people would get upset though. Because who wants to know they are being controlled through the every day devices they use? Who wants to know that they are going to be blamed for the shit that goes down?

Ignorance is bliss.

Most people are happiest not knowing, and just focusing on their own lives. What they have going for them and ignoring the corrupted institutions like religion and politics that we as a culture created long ago.

It does sound like a bit of fear mongering. If someone doesn't want to know about it then you shouldn't bother them, some people just don't care about those things. People have different outlooks on life and may not be worried about the direction that government are taking and may not be bothered if corporations are getting cutbacks. Something that you may see as something bad, another person may see as something good so you shouldn't force your opinions on anyway. Good to have a good discussion with someone but only if they want to have it. I agree that it is good to be informed but not everyone wants to be.

Man, when I started reading the OP I was really hoping you knew something about Alien visitations or Area 51 or something..... but seriously, I too am worried about where the US is headed, espiecially having 2 young children. Scares me half to death when I think about how worse off they might be in 20 years when they are trying to enter the workforce... However, I do agree that if someone doesn't share your concerns or chooses to ignore them, then you shouldn't push them into discussing it. Some people choose not to be bothered with it and that is their right as well.

A buddy of mine constantly posts shit about how our government is fucking us over and stuff. I'm not gonna lie it kind of scares me to think about it. At the same time it's annoying as fuck and I want him to stop...

After reading his latest posts on Facebook, it reminded me of this thread.

A great example of how telling the truth can be fear mongering is Dihydrogen Monoxide

- May cause severe burns
- Fatal if inhaled
- The major component of acid rain
- Contributes to the greenhouse effect
- Contributes to erosion
- It is an additive in many forms of junk food
- Used in nuclear power plants
- Kills millions each year

Sounds deadly but it is just water, H20. All those statements are true and so whilst you are telling the truth it would be fear mongering if you kept bringing up all these facts in discussions as they aren't relevant at all.

You should be more worried about people with too much power controlling our services that innocent, law abiding citizens have no say in than aliens or Area 51. Also, Area 51 is most likely just reverse engineering which can backfire but they are doing it at a safe distance from the public.

I guess some people wouldn't mind Socialism/Marxism in this day and time looking at this thread as long as the Government tells them it's okay.

I'm pretty sure there are plenty that would rather avoid something like socialism and Marxism in this country. They aren't just blindly saying... okay government you know what you are doing and we'll follow. But more... just realizing that he is in power and there are too many idiots out there that do just accept whatever the government is doing as long as they have their food stamps and free living and can be lazy and have their way of life unaffected they will continue to make sure nothing changes despite the truth and facts out there because they are more focused on themselves.

So while the truth is out there... if the majority isn't willing to do something about in a democracy... not much can be changed.

What doesn't kill these days? Like c'mon!

I don't like any side of my government, the main reason I don't vote. Regardless of who you vote for here, our country is still fucked because they all seem like idiots.

I guess fighting for my rights should be illegal if poor people keep abusing the systems to their benefit. Those systems will be washed up soon enough and those people will be dead but hey why tell them what's happening if they don't care. Let them run me into ground through their ignorance.
