Pretty simple, do you think MVP is ready to be a main-eventer on Smackdown. Ok he's in the Unforgiven Scramble Match, but is he ready for a World Title reign?

I think he definately is, and he has been ready for a long time. Now that Edge is injured, he would be perfect for a Main Event push but that may not happen due to him getting backstage heat in the WWE. He has the look, the technique and the charisma, now the WWE just need to trust him, but it would definately pay off.

I think he absolutely could, BUT Id want to hold off on it for another 6 months to a year.

Yeah, if they were going to push him too the top, it would have better after he lost the US belt. (which he held for nearly a year)

I think having him win MITB at Mania would be a good route to go, but SD is low on guys HHH can dominate, so we may see MVP job out a few times to HHH.

Yes he is, I'd keep building him up for another year before you really pull the trigger on his main event push. The guy can go in the ring, and he can definitely cut a promo. I expect him to be main eventing sometime next year

Why not? :y:

But MVP should be put in the main event sometime later, 3-4 months or something like that. They need to really hype him as a Main Event Superstar to build him for the the future. Maybe make him win the Money in the Bank Ladder match at WrestleMania and have him win the Championship two months later.

there is no way he's ready for a run at the wwe belt, but he would be a great ecw champ.there is no way he even deserves a main event match before 90% of the other wrestlers in wwe.he could be a superstar in ecw or tna though.

I think he should be main event material. Jobbing only to The Great Khali, Big Show, Triple H, Undertaker & Umaga.
He should have 50/50 matches with Edge, Jeff Hardy & Mr. Kennedy.

I think the Main Eventers should have an over the top rope battle royal for number one contendership.
Meaning Jeff Hardy, MVP, The Great Khali, Big Show & Undertaker.

I doubt it would ever happen though.

MVP is starting to look like a great main event heel now that he's more of a serious character and more aggressive, I'm thinking he just needs a couple of big wins against top faces, and he'd be fine.

With ECW or RAW, defeinetley not smackdown. He'd have to go through Big Show, Taker, Edge, HHH, and Khali. Very little chance he wins in Smackdown

i think they will begin to turn MVP baby face very soon then he will feud with a killer heel like Big Show or someone then he will win Rumble and be elevated to main event status

MVP is ready. Sunday should have been his night....

HHH is shown to be too 'strong' to lose to any of the available members of the current SD roster on-on-one (Edge on hols, Taker continuing the fued with Vicki PLUS now Show is also on board)... Unless we're gonna see Koslov or Kendrick challenging him at the upcoming PPVs or indeed more half-baked multi-man matches with mid-carders, HHH neededs to drop the belt asap and get back in the chase....

Despite stepping his shit up in recent months, Shelton still can't seem to draw heat, so I say that MVP SHOULD have walked out with the belt @ Unforgiven.

...From there we could have seen:

MVP deviously retain in the obligatory re-match, then...
Hardy & HHH clambering over each other to prove themselves the #1 contendership...
Title fued with one or both resulting in MVP notching up un-clean victory's to retain...
Then maybe a triple threat into the mix

....and he'd have already clocked up a half decent run which would take him up to around SSeries or Armageddon... OR better still from their fued him with 'Taker from Armageddon well into 2009.

(I know there will be a few calls for Hardy V HHH(c) fued cos of Jeff coming close in the scramble, but I'm sorry those matches (particularly the SD one) defied so much logic that those pins really meant fuck all!)

I don't know. To me MVP is a guy that will always border on the MVP window, but never become a legit main-eventer. To me, he's sombody like Rey or Chris Benoit. Guys who can step into the main event if needed to, but will not be able to carry the brand if they become the champion. So to me, I guess he can if needed to, but I wouldn't want him to get an extended run as champion. I think Edge and Undertaker should feud with HHH. They're guys who will not have doubters if they win the title, and I think that's the kind of guys SD needs now. Someone like Cena who everybody know will bring stability or a guy like Batista who can safely carry it and generate talk.
