I don't understand the huge deal about Matt either. While I think he's a very good and solid in ring worker at a mid card/upper mid card level, I don't think he'd be a very good World Champ. I don't think he'd sell much merchandise, and I don't think he'd make people want to buy PPV's with Matt in the main event defending his championship against big names like Taker and Batista.

Don't get me wrong, I think he's a very good wrestler, and I'd actually prefer him over MVP for the US Champ, but I don't think he would be a very good WHC or WWE Champion.

Matt for US Champ! :-D lol

Matt for World Champ, i really think both Hardys could be World Champs. There mic skills arnt that bad, and they put on some great matches. Both Hardys winning the big titles, that would be something to see.

Jeff, I can see as a WWE Champ someday but I really don't see the big deal about Matt. I mean he really isn't that great, mic skills are definitely not great Yeah he has a good finisher I'll give him that but he just doesn't have the size, charisma and the X-Factor

Only way Matt Hardy can even get a title match would be either being on ECW, or Edge being champion and reliving their program

I can actually see him being WHC. But for one PPV only, for exampe he wins it at Judgment Day and loses it at the rematch in One Night Stand, maximum Vengeance.

Besides, we survived Khali's title reign, we are up for anything

^ True but who actually watched much Smackdown then. Seriously I didn't watch much. But I would enjoy a Matt title reign even if it just as a transitional champ

PPV #1: Edge(c) vs Matt Hardy, Hardy wins it

PPV #2: Matt Hardy(c) vs Edge, Edge regains it by interference of a midcarder.

Regular Show: Rematch, Edge wins again by interference from the same midcarder, thus starting a feud between Matt and random midcarder, and leaving Edge at the end with the gold, and giving Matt a ride in Space Mountain

I dont think Matt is heavyweight championship material at the moment. Its clear that MVP has totally overshadowed Matt during their feud and that Matt has a long way to go before challenging for the main title. He hasn't even got a run as a IC/US champion yet...

Possibly at years end Id like to see him in a feud with Edge for the WHC but right now hes destined for a US title run first

He'll never be World Champ in my opinion only ECW because like I said in my other thread its like the Heat for Smackdown

Matt as US champion or even ECW champion ( thats too much for him also,i think ) is somewhat ok to me..he isn't your WWE or WHC champion type..his mic skills r not great..he's a good wrestler ,no doubt but as a heavyweight champion,IDK he can carry it out

If Lashley can be ECW World champion than Matt sure as hell can to.
