I honestly am confused. He's a hypocrite for taking prescribed drugs? You need antigens in your body so I'm confused on your accusation.

inb4 people call me a Punk mark.

I'm straight-edge too, I don't drink soda(cold beverages), coffee, ect.

But when I take prescribed medication, I don't think that affects on me being a straight edge.

:idontcare:

I'm just saying the way he talks and acts towards others. Its okay for him to act/be a certain way, do certain things, but when someone else does, he gets pissy. I am a huge Punk fan, I'm not a huge Phil fan is all I'm saying. I don't care to much for Phil.

It's Punk's way of getting heat as a heel. If you have something like straight edge as the base of your character it's the obvious thing to do. Point out this fault in others and make yourself out as a saint. Heels are hypocritical, that's the basics off it.

Just like when Punk is a face he puts the positive qualities of straight edge to the forefront, but as a heel he brings forth the negatives.

So when he's not wrestling he's still in character?
I know I will never meet him or be his friend so I guess I will never know how he is in real, actual life. All's I know is that he HATES people who use drugs, doesn't seem to hate the drugs... He "seems" like he hates the person, not the cause, if you get what I mean.

Punk is known for living his gimmick when out in the public so I'd not take anything for granted. He is probably only himself among his close friends.

And yes, a lot of die hard straight edgers are like that, hating the user, not the thing they are using.

I'm not straight edge, I don't drink or do drugs, street or prescription, but the people that do abuse it... I can't hate them. I hate the actual product and what it does to them. I guess like the old old saying goes, hate the sin not the sinner, ya know? i think its wrong to hate a person because of the mistakes they made/make. No one's perfect.

Rule of thumb: for every guy getting busted for drugs, PEDs, ect in whatever sport (or be it sports entertainment) you can bet your ass there are 10 guys not getting caught.

So yea, it's still a problem. If you think the majority of these guys can live this type of lifestyle and not have one vice or another you are naive and mistaken

How do you know he hates people who do drugs?

How he talks about people, the way he says things. I could tell in that movie/video of his they released a a month ago, the one about Punk. The way he talked about people.

I think he is angry at the world and takes it out on strangers because he grew up being crapped on while his brother got everything. I grew up with my brother beating the crap out of me, my mom babying him and always judging and yelling at me. Yet, I don't hate them or hate anyone. I think he grew cold at a young age and the only thing he is able to truly love is wrestling.

Prescription pills are the leading addiction in American so for people to be addicted to them in sports isn't surprising.

Exactly. If regular guys with averagely physically demanding jobs (say your average blue collar worker in construction or something similar for example) wind up on the things, how can someone like an NFL player or pro wrestler stand a chance?

I've heard many an NFL player talk about how the morning after a game you wake up feeling like you were in an automobile accident on Monday morning

I heard that too. I can't imagine being in that much pain every week. I guess it depends on the position you play. As for wrestlers, they gotta hurt non-stop. Most are in a ring 2-4 days a week.
