I don't have a problem with the Impact opening advertising the game. But the entrances get rather annoying pretty fast. I really think they just they should leave it at the opening, and then put a few commercials during the program itself.

If what xtremebadass states about the game is accurate. Then I don't plan on buying it either.

Putting their ramp entrances in the wrestler's titantrons is fucking Blue. (advertisement)

The bottom line is the hype doesn't match the game what so ever. I wouldn't hype the my game if you yourself knew it wasn't up to the standards you expected. Sure some screenshots may look cool, but the game doesn't have that much to equal the major hype for it. WWE has way more crap in their game and they don't hype it even half as much as TNA is doing. I think I will still get it maybe, it's a monumental game, plus Jeff Jarrett and AJ Styles are in there, TNA originals, so is Daniels, that's some good stuff.
Actually, from I last looked at it, the gameplay and some effects were looking to be much better than WWE games.

Yes, only because the game is gonna suck pretty badly. If you've seen videos of it it looks horrible imo.

I bet the gameplay is pretty good, it just lacks in features

^ it is basically a demo that you have to spend 60 bucks on...

I'm not going to go on my rant again, just go to the TNA iMPACT! thread in the game zone so you can understand why this game is going to suck. I have no problem with TNA hyping it up, but expect lots of people to be dissapointed

^The TNA mark, says the TNA games going to suck? :shocking:

No, but I watched half of iMPACT!, and I could smell the advertising from the opening clip. Then again, the only thing keeping me into wrestling is BTB.

I'd much rather pick up Merc's 2, than this. I mean I will more than likely get it for my birthday, or Christmas, but it hasn't caught my attention. I mean I really wanna lock someone in a Coquina clutch, or hit and Olympic Slam, or Angle Slam which I haven't gotten to do since 06 =/. But it just hasn't made me say "Damn, that looks sick. I'm going to reserve that shit at Gamestop!"

Well apparently there's no Knockouts, I would've expected you to be jumping up and down and flailing your arms about something like that

They started making it a long time ago before the knockout division even came to the light of day. We all knew it would be too late for them to develop a new body type. It really doesn't bother me. This is their FIRST game.

Really? Why is Booker T in there, and why is Senshi STILL in the game? He was released long ago, and Booker T came during the same time as the KO Division's inception.

^^After if I'm not mistaken

But they have advertised this to the point it has actually affected their programming with the removal of Kaz. They could've just shown vignettes or something...

Midway essentially doing a Tomko impersonation in their interview is unsettling, but keep in mind that SvR has had years to perfect itself, while TNA just now created the entire game from scratch. I'm still worried, but i'm reserving judgment until after i've played it.

Anyway, no amount of advertising is overkill. If they bought 24 hours of SpikeTV air time and just played the commercial over and over throughout, even that wouldn't be overkill. You can never have too much advertising.
