The initial batch of pre-order stock for Apple's new iPad has sold out. According to CNET, there's currently an extra three days' wait past the brick-and-mortar launch date of March 16 to get your web-ordered iPad in the US, while those across most of Europe and Japan are now facing a two to three week delivery delay for new orders. "Customer response to the new iPad has been off the charts and the quantity available for pre-order has been purchased," an Apple spokesperson told the site. "Customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date. Beginning Friday, March 16, the new iPad will be available for purchase at Apple's retail stores and select Apple Authorized Resellers on a first come, first-served basis." Apple announced its third-generation iPad last week. The device features a 'retina display' screen and an A5x chip with quad-core graphics.
I've always wanted an iPad but what's the need tbh considering the price? Why would you get an iPad when you can get an iPhone which is nearly the exact same and with an iPad it looks like you're paying $300 more for a iPod touch with a larger screen.
