Ladies and Gentlemen, over the past week or so speculation has been growing as to a new event making it's debut on the World Prediction Championship calandar, and tonight I'm glad to share the news that the first annual King of the Ring tournament will be taking place between July and August, with the first round scheduled for the weekend beginning July 17th.
This single elimination tournament will take in the best that Impact Wrestling, New Japan Pro Wrestling, All Elite Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment have to offer as the sixteen top ranked members of the World Prediction Rankings battle it out to be crowned Wrestling Smarks One True King. After all, #ThereCanBeOnlyOne.
You can check out the bracket for the tournament
over here.
I also have word that not only will this tournament crown our King, but that the person that is crowned King will also become our first ever undisputed number one contender in what is being described by those in the know as a fundimental shift in how the World Prediction Championship will be defended. I've no doubt that we'll hear more about that as the tournament progresses but for now, I have also been provided with the following rules of the King of the Ring tournament.
Good luck to all of the competitors that take part in this gruelling challenge, and remember, #ThereCanBeOnlyOne
