Stock footage means, he hasn't shot anything yet.

Pretty sure he has finished principal photography as there's photos from filming months ago or if he isn't, he must be nearing the endbut even so, I'm sure there's still a shit ton of work to be done with post-production. Besides this was only a teaser and it's advertised as that. There will probably be a trailer with actual footage from the movie in 5-6 months or so. This was simply done as it's a big movie and he knows that and wants to keep it hot with a year still to go till it is released. It was meant to gather interest. That's what a teaser does. IDK why many would want something giving away the whole plot in a first trailer and when you can't even watch it for another year.
