IMPACT WRESTLING MOVING TO WEDNESDAYs AT 9/8C ON SPIKE TV BEGINNING NEXT WEDNEDSDAY, AUGUST 20

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 14, 2014) – TNA today announced its flagship program, IMPACT WRESTLING, will make a permanent move to Wednesday nights at 9/8c on SPIKE TV beginning next Wednesday, Aug. 20.

"Moving IMPACT WRESTLING to Wednesday nights gives existing fans and new viewers an opportunity to enjoy both wrestling and live sports even more throughout the week," said TNA President Dixie Carter.

IMPACT WRESTLING has enjoyed sustained ratings growth this summer, drawing over 1.5 million viewers each week this quarter, and is among the most watched cable series in key male demos in its timeslot.

That's what i'm wondering. The press release says nothing about TNA & Spike renewing their contract. So hopefully there'll be some more news soon about this, and whether TNA and Spike have agreed to a new deal. I personally would assume they have, otherwise they wouldn't be moving to Wednesday's.

Apparently they've moved to Wednesday's because of the upcoming Thursday Night NFL games which will soon start on CBS, plus other tv shows that air on Thursday's that do well in the ratings.

Is this just SpikeTV sayin' their gonna show Impact on Wednesdays with all the tapings they've done recently? It doesn't verify anything else and it's before new schedules would take effect usually so I'll wait for more information.

Impact Wrestling has issued a press release stating that Impact will remain on SpikeTV through the end of 2014. The release also stated that negotiations are still ongoing between Impact Wrestling and SpikeTV.

Impact Wrestling makes its Wednesday night debut on SpikeTV tonight.

Looks like TNA's staying with Spike then.
