Point taken.I know, I just think it's dumb to post this as a fact when neither Viacom or Spike or TNA confirmed it. All three parties say the negotiations are ongoing, nothing is settled yet.
That's my point. Every business model is a projection. They use data to come up with a plan, but those plans are projections. It's not so much about the quality as much as the business side of things.
Wrestling - like any TV show - exists to get the most TV revenue they can, and they do that by attracting advertisers. The advertisers have to think that show is a good place to market their product.
WWE just signed a new TV deal in a time where advertisers should be attracted to a show like Raw, which is assignment programming for 4 million people across the world at a time where viewers often DVR programs and skip past the ads. They didn't, because wrestling fans have the stigma of being unemployed rednecks who don't have the money to spend on anything... and now the WWE Network comes out, and they realize (from the outside looking in) that 1/8th of the 4 million people watching Raw (plus streamers, DVR viewership, Hulu, etc) are willing to pay TEN DOLLARS a month to support the product they love, more less whatever sausage you're trying to sell.
Bar rescue sounds perfect for Kurt Angle if we're being honest.I feel like Bar Rescue and Hungry Investors are like the new breed of shows that Spike wants to start doing more of.
You got jokes to make at alcoholics SEAB!? @TestifyBar rescue sounds perfect for Kurt Angle if we're being honest.
Anyway I hope TNA gets hooked up with a better deal than Spike they've done their time there imo. Any American people have an idea what their options would be?
Well, if this is indeed true, and it was because of Russo, 1:. But yeah, if they found a new network it'd be interesting.

Not saying there are any concrete truths to this article but it does reveal alternatives TNA could explore if things don't work out with Spike.
Wasn't the name of the guy he theoretically forwarded the e-mail to Mike Johnson? If it was, 141 2/3% absolutely certain that goof forwarded it to him instead of Mike Tenay. But yeah, I bet Russo left around Slammi which is why stuff is good again. He apparently buried the last show for having too much wrestling. Classic Vinny Ru.If Spike TV really is just pissed off at them bringing Russo back and tried to cover it up before accidentally forwarding an email to a dirtsheet writer, this is the saddest yet most hilarious story in wrestling history.
But if they want to say Russo doesn't write for them, they can just point to the product. The build to Slammiversary was so atrocious that Testify and I stopped watching TNA. Shortly after that they went under a MASSIVE creative shift. This Dixie vs MVP bullshit was scrapped and Kurt Angle was brought in as GM. Eric Young has been depushed in favor of Roode, Aries, and a monster heel getting pushed by winning matches CLEAN. The shows are very heavy on GOOD wrestling and the days of 2 minute matches are over. It's the exact opposite of a Russo show so I can't imagine why they would be pissed off over Russo anymore.

If Testify stops watching, then the creative shift makes sense. If Spike TV really is just pissed off at them bringing Russo back and tried to cover it up before accidentally forwarding an email to a dirtsheet writer, this is the saddest yet most hilarious story in wrestling history.

* According to our affiliate at Talk TNA Podcast, Spike TV officials will be at the TNA New York tapings this week as both parties are still negotiating the terms on a new deal. Other networks have reportedly shown interest and are meeting with TNA as well. The feeling, internally, is that TNA can offer any network over a million viewers each week, so the future of the company doesn't look as bleak as many have suggested.

I'm no Testify mark, but if he stops watching the product must have been awful.
