One match I point to bc it was at such a low point of WWE content but ended up being amazing somehow is Elias vs Gunner of the forgotten sons (I already forgot his WWE name) in the musical instrument street fight gimmick match. It should have been so bad but it was great

I think she got the 2 syllables mixed up. She's billed from Chongqing, China (which sounds like "Chong Ching" when I heard it. But yeah I heard this and was like... kinda racisty sounding but it could have been an oops.

I wasn't super into graps in 2015-17 admittedly, didn't everyone hate Elias during his early appearances

He was more character than grappler at that point. I think the grappling caught up though. Dude isn't gonna be a Danielson or anything but his in-ring when coupled with his gimmick really do make a solid act, especially for TNA.

I think he has a great moveset personally too, like he may not do all the little stuff right (and if he's paired with a good opponent they will anyway), but then he'll just just out cool looking moves and make up for it
