I was a big Derrick Bateman guy, it was so weird how he was used then. Impact run felt like it validated my opinions lol

His chicks and America skits alone showed he got sports entertainment and then his chemistry with Bryan showed he had natural charisma. Then they did nothing with him.

And yeah, EC3 was Bateman dialed to 11. That guy should have been the It star of this generation. I think if he came to AEW a few years later with that gimmick, he’d be MJF.
