I honestly don’t get why they decided to do this because he finally found his niche as the heel cult leader and even if they wanted to kill the design, he still should have a character similar to that because he’s good. He’s just not good at this.

Well....this is a tough spot...because you're part of the people, and this is your choice, so if he listens to the people, he would end it, but since he ends it, he can't listen which means he has to keep doing it....but then that means has to listen....
