Going against the first round of the NFL Draft, Impact Wrestling viewership was down for its Rebellion fallout episode.
Last night's Impact averaged 120,000 viewers on AXS TV, down from the 145,000 that last Thursday's Rebellion go-home episode of the show averaged. The rating in the 18-49 demo was steady at a 0.05.
The opening night of the NFL Draft averaged 6.478 million viewers on ESPN, 4.192 million viewers on ABC, and 1.850 million viewers on the NFL Network last night. The ESPN broadcast topped all of television with a 2.41 rating in 18-49.
In the 18-49 demo, Impact
ranked 112th on cable last night. Last week's episode ranked 113th.
AEW World Champion Kenny Omega won the Impact World Championship by defeating Rich Swann in a title vs. title match at Impact Wrestling's Rebellion pay-per-view this past Sunday. On last night's Impact, there was a show-long storyline where it was said that Omega would be stripped of the Impact World Championship and indefinitely suspended from both Impact and AEW if he didn't appear in person. Omega & The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) appeared near the end of the show, attacking Eddie Edwards and Sami Callihan during the main event.
Impact Tag Team Champions Juice Robinson & David Finlay tried to make the save after Omega & The Good Brothers' attack but were beat down.
A six-man tag match with Omega & The Good Brothers facing Edwards, Robinson & Finlay has been announced for Impact Wrestling's Under Siege Impact Plus special that's taking place on Saturday, May 15.
