Imagine Dragons' biggest hit has finally ended its run on the Billboard Hot 100 after a record-breaking tenure. Billboard reports that the song dropped out of the top 100 this week, giving it eighty-seven consecutive weeks on the chart. It broke the record of seventy-six weeks held by Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" in 2008 and 2009. Incidentally AWOLNATION's "Sail" also passed "I'm Yours" but fell off after seventy-nine weeks.

"Radioactive" debuted at #93 on August 18th of 2012 and was at #49 last week. Because the chart removes songs that are on their way down if they fall below #50 after twenty weeks, it will be removed in the coming week.

The top ten longest chart reigns are below:

1. Imagine Dragons - "Radioactive" (87 weeks)
2. AWOLNATION - "Sail" (79 weeks)
3. Jason Mraz - "I'm Yours" (76 weeks)
4. LeAnn Rimes - "How Do I Live" (69 weeks)
5. LMFAO (ft. Lauren Bennett & GoonRock) - "Party Rock Anthem" (68 weeks)
6. Adele - "Rolling in the Deep" (65 weeks)
7. Jewel - "You Were Meant for Me"/"Foolish Games" (65 weeks)
8. Carrie Underwood - "Before He Cheats" (64 weeks)
9. The Lumineers - "Ho Hey" (62 weeks)
10. Lifehouse - "You and Me" (62 weeks)

It's weird that I've never heard a few of these songs yet they've apparently been very popular (Sail for example).

Massive achievement for the band though. The song is pretty dope.

87 weeks? That is mighty impressive. Although I don't know why it gets an automatic removal if it's below 50 for 20.

I would have liked to know how long it would've lasted after 93 until it legit fell out.

Fuck I have only heard 3 of these songs. Surprising that Michael Jackson or Madonna doesn't have one up there as I heard some of their same sings like every day for 10 years growing up on the radio in the 80's
