Imagine Dragons' biggest hit has finally ended its run on the Billboard Hot 100 after a record-breaking tenure. Billboard reports that the song dropped out of the top 100 this week, giving it eighty-seven consecutive weeks on the chart. It broke the record of seventy-six weeks held by Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" in 2008 and 2009. Incidentally AWOLNATION's "Sail" also passed "I'm Yours" but fell off after seventy-nine weeks.
"Radioactive" debuted at #93 on August 18th of 2012 and was at #49 last week. Because the chart removes songs that are on their way down if they fall below #50 after twenty weeks, it will be removed in the coming week.
The top ten longest chart reigns are below:
1. Imagine Dragons - "Radioactive" (87 weeks)
2. AWOLNATION - "Sail" (79 weeks)
3. Jason Mraz - "I'm Yours" (76 weeks)
4. LeAnn Rimes - "How Do I Live" (69 weeks)
5. LMFAO (ft. Lauren Bennett & GoonRock) - "Party Rock Anthem" (68 weeks)
6. Adele - "Rolling in the Deep" (65 weeks)
7. Jewel - "You Were Meant for Me"/"Foolish Games" (65 weeks)
8. Carrie Underwood - "Before He Cheats" (64 weeks)
9. The Lumineers - "Ho Hey" (62 weeks)
10. Lifehouse - "You and Me" (62 weeks)

It's weird that I've never heard a few of these songs yet they've apparently been very popular (Sail for example).
Massive achievement for the band though. The song is pretty dope.
