So...as some of you know I only returned to watching wrestling on the
regular around the 2016 Royal Rumble...so my time back around the
WWE has been fairly short.

Now recently there has been a lot of debate & discussion around "the
traps" (Yes...I am trying to make that my catchphrase) about the possibility
of Daniel Bryan wrestling again.

daniel-bryan_600.jpg

Now I have to be honest and state I've never watched a full Daniel Bryan
match and I've only seen highlights & a few clips...so I don't really have a
frame of reference...but I wanted to ask you all a serious question...

Would Daniel Bryan wrestling in the WWE again really change anything?

I know the guy is/was incredibly popular with the WWE audience & was
from what I've heard an incredibly talented in-ring worker...but even if he
did lace up the boots again...would it really mean anything in the grand
scheme of things?

Pick an Answer & leave your thoughts below as I'm interested in seeing
how those around here feel about Bryan & his wishes to wrestle again.

And of course...I will see you all around the traps.

Well, In my opinion, We wont really know that for sure til he steps foot in the ring again. (IF he still decides to do so)
I was and still am a big Daniel Bryan Fan. Loved all his matches. He still has potential and when he's in the Ring his Whole "being" changes. He's got an Electrifying personality. Full of spark. I personally, would like to see him in the ring again. Its like just when u think he's Given up, He springs up with a whole new Attitude/Determintation to beat his opponents.

I think this is a no-brainer, like him or not. Daniel Bryan is a top performer and can do almost anything... Maybe he will not "change" the WWE but the impact of him being an active wrestler again would greatly improve the product.

it probably wouldn't change a whole lot because he'd only work a reduced schedule but it's still a big deal to have him in a ring in general. Especially during this new age of internet marks and indie lovers, I think people sometimes underestimate how much someone like Bryan actually draws

I don't think he'll be in the main event scene but he could definitely elevate the midcard title if they choose to put a title on him, that said, Bryan is one of the guys who (while I am not a fan of) can make a program interesting and must see for most of the audience even without a championship being involved.

Like him coming back and having to face Braun/Brock, etc would basically sell the tickets itself. There's also matches like Bryan vs Aj / Balor vs Bryan, or all three of them or him and Nakamura\Joe. He has like so many awesome match possibilities, I just hope that IF he wrestles in the WWE again, they book him with some interesting matchups than him wrestling like Jason Jordan every week.

It isn't going to change anything for the product but I think for his fans, they will get more excited for wrestling. There are certainly some good matches that can be made if he was able to wrestle again but still, like I said.. Him wrestling won't really change anything for the WWE.

He will never wrestle in WWE again. WWE knows it would be an absolute nightmare if they let him back in the ring and if he took 1 bad bump and got concussed, after the whole retirement thing, it would look terrible on them

Daniel Bryan’s in ring return, In any capacity, especially if he can be 100%, is a big deal. If he can even do a part time 3 match a year thing or something, he would put on a clinic with guys like aj, shin, KO, etc.

I disagree. Define “change.” I think him having matches with Some top guys here and there will change things for the better. For example, knowing that if Daniel Bryan gets pushed over the edge by certain superstars, he may lace up his boots and whoop their ass. Well, to me, that changes the whole landscape of some things. And, it gives an appeal for certain situations and developing feuds. Much like with Shane now, knowing he will fight, it changes the smackdown landscape.

I kind of almost wonder if WWE is making it seem like a possibility in order to get him to sign a contract extension and then just keep him on the bench again. WWE has little to worry about from their competitors, but giving Bryan's popularity and the amount of angst fans have had about him not wrestling in years, his wrestling for any other company will undoubtedly give the promotion a boost. I doubt the WWE has any intention on seriously using him in any way but I can believe they want to keep anyone else from.

That out of the way, I doubt Bryan would stick with WWE even if they do let him wrestle again. There's definitely not more money elsewhere, but there's more opportunity as a wrestler to be able to wrestle.

I don't think Daniel Bryan will resign with the WWE...no matter what they
do or how much they offer him. He wants out...and you can just tell that
when you hear or see him on SmackDown.

I love his..."I don't give fuck" attitude...like he'll just say what he wants
because they can't physically stop him & if they fire him...he'll be fielding
huge offers from other wrestling promotions before you can chat YES!
3 times.

I guess I just want him & his family to be happy & healthy...and if he can
safely wrestle without the possibility of seriously injuring himself...then he
should just go do it.

He should go wrestle Kenny Omega in NJPW...apparently that what everyone
is doing these days.

Nah, it wouldn’t change all that much. Mostly because I’m almost certain he won’t be wrestling in WWE again. He’s been medically cleared to compete by every single doctor he’s ever been to except WWE’s (whom I highly doubt the competence of and also the integrity) so I don’t think WWE would let him wrestle.

I hope he doesn’t re-sign with WWE. They’d just stick him right back into a non-wrestling role. Any indie promotion in the world or NJPW would welcome him with open arms.

He is that type of a wrestler who can put on a great match with ANYONE, an incredible technician, so yeah he is worth all the hype in my opinion. Still the biggest thing I like about Bryan is not his in ring talent, it's the lack of fucks he gives! I still think he is the real reason Vince canceled Talking Smack:emoji_smiley:.
