Lets say you were a promoter for either WWE, TNA, or even your very own wrestling company. What style women's division would you use? The ROH/Knockouts circa 2008/Indy style division where all the girls can actually work? Or would you use the WWE style where the women are hired based entirely on their looks? Would you care more about wrestling skills or bra size? For me, its hard to say, but if I had a gun to my head I'd go with more of a T&A style division. I respect women, and I feel they should be represented appropriately but when the situation calls for it, there's no problem with girls showing off some skin. You must be asking yourself, "why chess??? WHY!?!?!?!?".

ratings.

The fact is, 9/10 males who flip channels one day, will stop when they see a half naked chick on their screen. They'll watch for a few minutes, then they'll continue to watch as they see other stuff they like, and eventually they'll stick around and the product will grow on them. What does that all equate to? More ratings, and over time, more fans which of course leads to more money. You can call it a cheap ratings ploy if you want, but in my view, the main goal of a booker/promoter should be to get as many eyes watching the product as possible, and if focusing the women's division on looks rather than wrestling ability achieves that, then so be it.

Thoughts?

As sexist as this may sound, the best wrestlers in the world are all men. If you're shooting for a show with pure quality, then you have no women. If you're going for a more "entertainment" style show, then sure, have some women that look good, but make sure they can wrestle a bit too, like Molly Holly, Mickie James, Trish, Cheerleader Melissa and Beth.

I'd have female wrestlers and valets. If I had Vince's wallet, I'd bring in legit, tough women from Japan, Mexico and other places to establish credibility.

The female wrestlers would wrestle, and the valets would compete in Bikini contests or "T & A segments" every once in awhile. If there were one or two wrestlers that could "cross over" and do both aspects (like Trish Stratus, because she COULD wrestle), cool.

I would use a combination of eye candy and "wrestling talent". Eye Candy is definitely more important but like others mentioned good workers would be needed to add credibility. But the good workers should be pleasing to look at unlike Kong or most of the Japanese chicks. I'd still use a few of these workers but very little. Talent like Trish Stratus, Lita, Mickie James, Melina, Natalya, and Maryse(Yes Maryse) fill in both aspects in the fact that they're great eye candy and can work.

Then there is just plain eye candy like Kelly Kelly, Torrie Wilson, Eve Torres, Layla, Alicia Fox, Bella Twins, Stacy Keibler, Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne, etc that only fill the eye candy requirement so these workers would be used in "diva" segments like dances, bra & panties, used as valets, and basically used as jobbers.

Finally there are female wrestlers such as Michelle McCool, Gail Kim, Molly Holly, Tara, and Beth Phoenix that only some view as eye candy but they can work. They would be mixed in with the plain eye candy and eye candy/good worker.

Yeah, like Nation said i'd use a combo of eye candy and talent. Similar to what TNA has been doing. I think i'd put in a little more effort on the eye candy side for TNA.

Two of the best to ever do it.

Those are the kind of scary bitches I'd anchor my division on. It'd have to be Awesome Kong now since Aja and Bull Nakano are semi or totally retired. You can have as many swimsuit models in your division but you wont draw any resemblance to legitimacy or money with just some skinny skanks, you got to have rough looking butch bitches to bully around the Barbie dolls, plus usually the uglier and fatter the broad the more dedicated she is to the sport and it makes for a better talent. I'd want a strong style, Joshi-ish women's promotion, but if I couldn't get foreign talent, I wouldn't have a womens division. 95% of American females bore the fuck out of me, and I get enough actual life pussy that they could be wrestling naked and I wouldn't care.
