As a 1 shot thing I think it could be interesting, but I highly doubt that he will seriously consider a career in MMA. I mean it isn't like he is young and his body I am assuming isn't in the best shape.

Shaq is getting too old for basketball let alone trying something else. His physical shape is diminishing too. I don't think anyone gives a shit about him in the NBA let alone a possible career in MMA. Sure it will peak people's interest but when it's all said and done people are going to be like "This is a joke right?"

As lame as it would be and as old and how ragged his body is, Shaq just once in the UFC would undoubtedly make more bank for the UFC than anything they have ever done. And that's not a joke, Shaq is a bigger celebrity and sports persona than all of their fighters combined.

^ That is honestly why if you think about it, him doing a one and done deal with the UFC whenever his NBA career is over. Shaq is like Enzo said one of the biggest names in not only sports but entertainment as well, to the non-MMA fan they could probobly only name Tito, Chuck and maybe Lesnar and GSP. Shaq if fighting on a UFC card would draw a bigger buyrate than anything they could cook up even with the biggest MMA names.
