Kill the WHC and you kill Smackdown. That is, unless, the WWE Champion begins appearing on there.

So, for that reason I say kill the US title.

That's why I think if you ask most people who say kill the World Heavyweight Championship will also say that the Brand Split needs to be killed as well.

The brand split is already dead. Punk and Cena are about the only people who aren't at least semi-regular on Smackdown.

Kill the WCW titles, this is WWE.

IC title has more lineage to the WWF so that makes it the one to keep. Don't need two world titles for a brand because like everyone said it is dead. You also eliminate the WCW titles and you already free up enough room to actually have decent feuds and actual contenders for IC and WWE titles.

US Title Belt, the WHC still has a decentish history and proven in the past to get talent over ready for WWE Champ status.

But that should be the job of the mid-card title. In kayfabe terms, the WHC should be equal to the WWE title. Both are world championships, WHC has been viewed as the top title at times as well, so it should not be there to get talent ready for a WWE title reign. So what does the IC title do? Get people ready for a WHC reign to get ready for a WWE title reign?

Eh good point, but the US title does nothing, the US does nothing either. Merging them would be more logical imo.

I would kill both the world title and the US title Cesaro can unify the IC and US and while Punk or Sheamus can unify the world titles or even Cena and the smackdown champion the next thing after that is to drop the brand thing and have how it was pre 2002.

But it's not, because we still have two titles that are specific to their brand, one that has almost no prestige at all right now because of the lack of Main Event Talent. If they want to fully kill off the Brand Split, they'd merge the titles.

I think the problem has less to do with the belts themselves and the fact Smackdown is now viewed as a poor man's Raw. So how can the World Title be considered the same level of the WWE Title if the show it headlines is considered to be second hand. The fact of the matter is the WWE Title will always be the Title and will always accumulate the most prestiege and air time. I love the World Title however, sure you might not have the talent to book it correctly all the time, but in hindsight we never would have had title reigns like Daniel Bryan and Mark Henry and Christian. Honestly, and I hate to say this, but I believe if Vince were to get rid of one it would be the US title. I mean I never even see it defended, I think the last two title changes happened on pre shows. The IC title has seen an uprise in the past few months with Rhodes, Christian, Miz, Kofi, Etc! So I think the IC Title is doing its job. There is plenty of talent out there worry of being WHC the question is going to be is will the E use them.

The world title is not specific to any brand, you have guys challenge for the WWE title one month and then the WHC the next month, Sheamus is featured on both shows, his feud with Big Show has been a pretty big part of Raw the past few weeks, as much as it's been part of Smackdown. The only stuff that isn't on Smackdown is the WWE title.

I'd say keep the brand split as it is, since people appear on both shows now. Reality is that the WWE under Vince has almost always had 2 to 3 separate rosters that would tour house shows. It's a marketing gimmick, which is fine. Maybe the WWE champ appears on Smackdown, maybe he doesn't need to and that show is ued more to promote the IC title. Though if they have the ideas to run a main event storyline from one RAW and into Smackdown, go for it.

The World Title is brand specific.

If someone wins the World Title, they are going to be considered a Smackdown! Superstar. Hence the reason the Money in the Bank Briefcase are colored Blue and Red.

Just because they wrestle someone on the other brand doesn't mean it's to brand specific. There's technically only one person he defended the title against that wasn't a Smackdown! Superstar and that was Chris Jericho in a Fatal-Four Way Match. Daniel Bryan never defended the title against a Raw Superstar. Mark Henry never defended it against a Raw Superstar, etc etc.

They are still labeled as Raw and Smackdown! Superstars, and they don't defend the titles against the other shows.

If you recall, Big Show was a Raw superstar when Henry was defending the belt against him. He was drafted to Raw earlier in the year, got kayfabe injured, came back during the supershow stuff appeared on both shows.

Ryback was quietly moved to the Raw section from Smackdown earlier this week. That should tell you how little brands mean.

It doesn't matter if it means little or not, it's still there. That's the point I'm trying to make. There is still a Raw and Smackdown Roster, not a WWE roster. Ryback has been on Raw almost full-time for months now, and he's now in the WWE Championship picture. Of course he's going to be moved.

But what I'm saying is that since it's so meaningless, it wouldn't be a problem if they killed the WHC and had the WWE champ appear on Smackdown. Be the only world champion on the roster.
