What world event would you prevent from ever happening? And I don't want to hear those bull crap answers that some people always give like, "I wouldn't change anything because then we never would learn from that mistake/natural disaster/event bla bla bla".

It would have to be something that happened after I was born because I still want to exist. I would have to go with 9/11.

I'd have to say 9/11 too. That was the beginning of Terrorism, since then life has traveled by far and the war is on going.

If that could have been changed then who knows where life could have led us all... I'm going with 9/11

Its not, its a valid answer and one that I was thinking about. But he means for the sake of the hypothetical.

But anyway, are we talking strictly future events or all-time and historical? If the latter, I'd have to go with 9/11. Not because I was personally affected, but because of the ramifications the event had on censorship and the media.

Aight cause really I wouldn't change anything cause with those mistakes we learned where we fall short. We saw how lax our airport security was, America realized that they are susceptible to being attacked, not invincible, and it took off that arrogance and pride that America took everywhere. It made America look vulnerable and it felt vulnerable after feeling like it could never be touched by anybody anywhere and always constantly looking down on everyone everywhere.

As horrible as 9/11 was... America needed a serious wake up call.

But as far as what I would change... I dunno.

9/11. I experienced watching that live, one of the worst experiences of my life. Wish I could've prevented it. I really never looked at fires or any building or structure's burning the same again without thinking of that day.

There are too many things that I would consider changing but like others have said each tragic event has lead to society learning something and hopefully making some changes for the better.

Since nearly everyone else has said 9/11 I will change it up and pick something out of left field and say that I would change it so that the Ancient Egypt wouldn't have fallen when they did. They were great thinkers and were so, so far ahead of their time I would love to know what would have happened to the world and how it would have advanced if they hadn't been defeated.

Wouldn't you like to know?
9/11 led to Obama being elected ... so there's that. I digress, why would I want to change anything that happened in the world? If you prevented 9/11 who's to say that another attack wouldn't have happened that was on the same level or even worse? What if D-Day had been stopped? Or had the Holocaust never occurred and WW2 never taken form? Then the United Nations, European Union, and NATO would cease to exist quite possibly. Chances are the Great Depression would have lasted a lot longer, we would have never crippled the infrastructure of Europe and Japan, leading us to never being a power horse in the Automotive and labor industry. Every bad thing that happens in history leads to something good.

I would prevent Shawn Michaels from leaving the WWE, I miss the guy and I hope he returns sometime in the future.
