I seriously had to look up who main evented that year. CM Punk main eventing over Triple H? There's no way. Trying to put a face against authority is all wwe does.

Corporate Punk sounds hella awful.

I just think with that card as weak as it was it would have
been Punk's best chance to main event. The WWE may
have still gone with Triple H/Reigns...but I think Punk
could have made a good argument at the time for the
spot.

And I didn't mean that Punk would turn "Corporate" I
just think Punk vs. Reigns may have been a match that
the crowd would have given a shit about instead of
booing constantly & chanting for NXT wrestlers.

I think Punk should’ve stayed. He didn’t get to main event 28 or 29, but everyone knows he would’ve for 30-32, at least one or 2 of those. Things would’ve been different if he stayed.

I would love to see him come back at least part time. Show up now and then to kick people’s asses and face young talent.
