What would it look like if WWE had an off season like every other professional sport? What month(s) would they take a break during? How long would this be? How would this affect business? Booking? Creative? Talent?

I would suggest that WWE would perform for 10 weeks every season (Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall). Each season would end with a PPV.

Winter- Royal Rumble
Spring- Wrestlemania
Summer- Summerslam
Fall- Survivor Series

After each season the talent would get 2 weeks off from the road with the exception of Fall season, where the talent would get the entire weeks from Thanksgiving to New Years time off (6 weeks total)

Each season could also be traveled around specific U.S. territory (West Coast, East Coast, South, Midwest)

Additionally the 2 or 6 week off seasons could be booked for international tours where talents could rotate on which tours to go on depending on contracts, agreements, inuries, etc.

WWE doesn't even necessarily need an off-season, they have such a ludicrousy big roster (most have no overness but if WWE tried to make new stars for once that would change) that you could just rotate it during the year. Have a Roster A and Roster B and have them swap around after the big PPVs perhaps. Either way, I understand WWE not wanting and off-season in terms of programming, especially with their TV deals, but they should at least contemplate roster rotation, especially now the brand split is merely in writing at this point

Rather than trying to explain it, I think one which may work is the idea which was created by Brian Zane from Wrestling with Wregret.

*Looks around for a second*

Didn't we already do this thread?

Like last year or something?

Anyway...Yes the WWE should have a 3 month off season so the performers can rest & heal up while the creative team
(tries) to work out a proper roadmap for the next 9 month "on" season as the company replays fan voted pay per views
during the Monday night Raw spot.

I can already see Vince just cursing and screaming with his face red, just at the thought of doing an off time.

They take pride in working 300+ days a year, the company and talent always brags about it..

They're never doing an off season, the most they'll do is give some talent days off here and there.

After WrestleMania would be perfect for a couple months off. Come back in July and start building towards SummerSlam.
