Just another simple question, I was thinking last night just pop in my head. If Cody doesnt come over from AEW, who beats Roman for the title?

Is it Sami?

Is It Jey?

Is it Solo?

Is it The Rock?

Is it Cena?

It's not Jimmy!

Hard to say because of how much momentum Cody generated but I would put a substantial amount that it would have been The Rock. If we keep it simple and just assume that the WWE would have gone on the same trajectory without Cody then The Rock likely wouldn't have had any pushback like he got this year. Instead most of the fan base is behind him and he goes on to beat Roman.

I feel like Seth could def been built for the next mania.

I feel like it could of been Sami, even though we miss out on Usos vs. Sami/KO.

I feel like Sami could of had a very similar story to what Cody was doing obviously not that dead dad thing. I feel like Sami had the support.

that's probably pretty fair. I do wonder though if Rock still turns heel? Maybe they have him try to seize the bloodline from under Roman's nose?
