How do you think his career would have developed? Would he still be a governor? As far as I remember he was actually a pretty bad in-ring wrestler that was saved by his mic work. If he didn't changed careers he might be about as well remembered as Dave Schultz.

He would have probably been alot more successful, as opposed to being a ridiculous, paranoid, anti-government conspirace theorist and leader of the tinfoil hat brigade
I think he would have followed the same path, just a slightly different time table. He might have been able to pull off a big Wrestlemania match, maybe not main event level though. I think he still would have gone the Hollywood path, and had the same level of mixed success. Bit roles in a couple of Arnold's movies or the equivalent.
He'd have still been a seemingly paranoid character though. I just think the major diff. would have been making a bit more money before becoming an announcer and leaving for other ventures.

I find it a bit sad sometimes that people want to knock someone just because he has been anti-WWF/WWE and has decided to have a career outside of wrestler. From what I can tell Jesse has been one of the rare examples of an ex-wrestler to be sucessful outside of wrestling. Would have liked many more years of him as a colour man myself.
Could of been on a par with Hogan (pre Hulkamania blowup).

Ventura has other interests but he still respects the athletes wrestling has to offer. I'm sure with his personality he would have just kept gettin' more popular.
