So the Colts are still keeping him on the active list with I guess hopes he can come back at some point in the year and play. Problem is by the time he probably would be able to go they'll probably have at least 12 loses on the year. So is it worth playing him if he is ready to go in say week 14? To me it isn't because the year is obviously done and he'd just be playing to give Colts fans a little hope going into next year. Just would be better to just close the book on him playing this year and prepare him for next year to be 100%.

He won't play this season. I think both him and the Colts organization are smart enough to see why that's not an option. All he's saying is that he would love to be playing football right now, a reasonable statement for any professional football player to make. Especially one that's had to sit and watch his team go 0-8.

As a former Collegiate Football Coach (not bragging, just using it for my argument) there is 0% Chance he plays, unless the Colts are ignorant as hell. At 0-7 your season is over, risking a career ending injury to him is idiotic.

I think if you can let him practice but anything more than that hold it off for next year. I know you never wanna give up on seasons but this is a done deal for the Colts. Real Dilemma they have is whether to move on from Peyton or go get Andrew Luck. Usually would say it's crazy to even consider it but a neck injury is as bad as it gets for a athlete so you have to consider it for the future of the franchise.

No sense in having him play, just let the season run it's course and get a nice draft pick to help you make one last run with him before he hangs them up in the next few years.

No doubt he's not playing this season. Just wait until next season and see how everything goes. The last thing the Colts and Peyton need is for him to get injuried again which would likely happen if they rushed his return to the field.

I don't think he's gonna play. i could see it maybe if the colts were around 500 and pushing for hte playoffs, but now they are pushing for Luck.
